This is an article especially for parents who have a special needs child
or a child in trouble.I work with adults who have severe mental
illness anad facilitate a group for familes of people who come to our
program. They were able to express to me last week their frustrations
and fears. They have been through so much pain and grief. They love
their daughter but don't know why she acts a certain way and is not sure
how to handle it when she acts out.They are worried about what will
happen to their daughter when they die.
My heart goes out to all of you who may be dealing with a situation
like this.I can not imagine what it would be like to experience
what you have been through.I have no words of wisdom or a
magic wand. What I do have is my love and understadning. What
I know is that there is help available for you.Find support
in your faith. Whatever it may be. Get support from people who will
understand. Get answers from people who know your situation.
I wish you peace and a sense that you are loved.I just wanted you
to know I am thinking of you tonight. Please take care of yourself.

I have been speaking lately, of my fears when "I" die, and where "She" (at 30 yrs. of age) will be THEN, her dad is hardly around now for her, I don't see much of a change, so YES,I am more than concerned and looking into Services that will give her some kind of Independence and still have someone with her!

God Bless every Parent! and Most, the Parent that struggles (not out of choice) to be BETTER toward your child, then you THINK you can be.... Some make it harder on themselves as parents, by the choices they make ( that is honesty ) The must put FOCUS more on the "Child"

My daughter was afraid she had a learning impaired child. It turned out he simply had a hearing problem. That can make a child look learning impaired. Hearing is an important part of learning. At any rate you should see the difference now that he can hear.
Just a thought. Any problem is an important thing to know about.
