Carol Hope,
Cancer Survivor and Concerned Citizen
I remember chemistry class with Mr. Green, my 8th grade science teacher. He taught me the definition of an enzyme as being a catalyst that is specific in action; affecting change, but not being affected by the chemical reaction itself. I was a good student and passed my tests, but did not see the relevance of learning that. I did not know that many years later, enzymes would play a huge role in my healing. Most importantly, understanding the role they play in my digestion and absorption of nutrients and the elimination of toxic waste from my body, caused me to seek a clearer understanding of my unique biochemistry, and helped me to find healing.
Today I encourage everyone to begin the study of their own biology because each of us has a unique metabolic type: a biochemical signature, if you will. We are all different and uniquely and powerfully made. No-one will ever take this journey for you because no-one else lives inside of your skin. Even if we are unable to speak for ourselves, people will only have to try to see if what worked for others will work for you. I have found that finding healing is a complicated issue which engages the mind, the body and the spirit. All of these have to be engaged for the body to find harmony, balance & ease. Healing is an inner journey that requires for each person to know who they are and what they require to live in good health. It is definitely a journey worth taking.
Having said that, there are generalities we all share. We all need good food, good water, clean air to breath, comfort, each other and so on. We also all need digestive and other enzymes to take care of the biochemical actions that cause digestion and other functions that are critical for our survival. We all need catalysts to ensure things are delivered where they need to go. When the catalysts are missing, things do not get where they need to go.
After cancer treatment that left me almost dead and in a lot of pain, I sought out scientists in the biochemical field who told me that I was very mal-nourished, but by ensuring that I eat friendly to my type and get sufficient supplies of digestive enzymes, probiotics, minerals etc., I might find healing. I followed through on everything they suggested, and I kept very good notes in my journal about how my body was reacting to the new found approach. I started this journey in October 2002. Thankfully, I am here today, and in good health. I credit these people with teaching me what I needed to take care of my biology 24/7. They taught me that there was so much my medical doctors could do to help me. The rest was up to me. Quite shocking news to me at the time, but it was the catalyst that threw me into the pro-active journey of keeping tabs on my digestion, absorption, and elimination of toxic waste; that forced me to look at my water intake and the quality of water that I drink; that caused me to add digestive enzymes to my diet to ensure the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to my cells; to monitor my energy levels; to check the pH of my saliva and urine so as to keep acidity at bay………the list goes on. May sound like a lot of work, but I want to live in good health for the rest of my life. This journey has proved that I am on to something.
I run a Juice Club in Miami Gardens, Florida, but I support people all over the world in taking the journey of applied knowledge. Should you have a question, I will be happy to answer it for you. I may be reached at 786-337-5965 for a schedule of regular or bi-weekly activities. If I don’t pick up; I may be resting; or on a cruise to some exotic place. Leave a message or send me an email with something in the subject section of the email at: carolhope19.msn.com.I may not open the email if it has no subject. You may also check me out on line at www.authorsden.com/carolhhope. I write quite a bit, and something I have there may be a catalyst for change in your life. Each time the juice club meets I record a radio show. Find it at www.blogtalkradio.com/hopeproviders. All of my shows are archived and the latest one is always streaming. Click on the play button, wait for it to buffer and listen.
My water has EVOLVED. Check out www.internalshower.myevolv.com to see what I mean or get some for yourself.
Next Hopie’s Juice Club meeting is January 8, 2011 starting at 10:00AM. Registration for non-members is $5. Members do not need to register. The education is free, the refreshments are free and the company of possibility thinkers is priceless. Talk with you soon. Be blessed and have a safe and grace-filled Christmas and New Year.
