LAUNDRY DAY
Scars tell much
about who we are,
what we have done.
Stains we carry─
shallow or penetrating─
are smudges of life.
When pain lingers inside
blemishes become visible,
possible for others to view.
God comes wherever we are
to scrub, to scour, to send us
out to share the news.
Another stain is gone,
scrubbed away with His gracious help
guiding our wits, directing our work.
There is always more going on
than meets the eye─
every evanescent second.
Carriers of peace and forgiveness,
scars reflect love that
might otherwise go unseen.
Every day I live then is laundry day.
