As my book outlines - I have had EXCELLENT HEALTH INSURANCE since I can remember, yet for the past decade I have dealt with significant problems getting health CARE.

Uncle Barry assumming that health insurance for all will solve the American Family ills in any way is simply showing how little he AND Washington knows about the problems with our health industry at large.

The only thing the GuvMint should be involved in is setting industry standards and monitoring the industry to keep it honest so the rest of us do not get raped financially.  Make it an agency like the FDA.  More government is not needed and will only leave loop holes for exploitation.

Keep in mind that no one that is "dealing" with the issue of health care at this time in Washington has EVER - EVER had to wrestle with health care issues on the same level as WE have and do every day.

If there is to be a change for the better in our health industry, Washington has to curb the Ambulance Chasing Lawyers out there because that is the absolute ROOT of the skyrocketing costs.

Put a ceiling on the amount of money that a Doctor can be sued will be a good start. A NATIONAL CAP. Lets give the sleazy lawyers one less avenue to rape.

A doctor that worries about being sued before making a descision (and in most states - that is a huge portion) is automatically practicing with one hand tied behind his back. That means less doctors are practicing cutting edge medicine and are simply praticing cover your ass medicine.

Think about how many times a day you see a law firm commercial that states "Have you or a loved one exerienced death due to..."
