One of the biggest ways to con people is to convince them they can get something for nothing. In fact, one of the famous quotes on the topic, "A sucker is born every minute," is really only half of the quote.
The other half describes that they are only suckers because they think they are going to con even more people. The easiest people to con are con men themselves that are less skilled in the game of the con.
Throw in some halfway decent
people skills, and convince others they can pull one over, and you've got yourself a pretty good angle.
Anyhow, how does the Law of Attraction really work? As it's sold in many, many courses, you just think of what you want, and it will magically appear. Now, they don't usually say it in those terms. They use long flowery phrases that make it seem much more complicated.
They throw in terms of quantum physics and other terms from physics like "vibrations" and "resonance" to make it sound like the "Law of Attraction" is on par with other physical laws of the universe like gravity and Newton's second law.
But as I'm sure you've learned again and again, if something sounds to good to be true , then it usually is.
Now, here's something that some of those Law of Attraction promoters and subscribers would rather not think about.
First, they use the word "Law" like it's some kind of principle of physics, right? Which means they believe in a kind of universal order. Which means they DON'T believe in randomness.
But anything that exists in this world HAS to have been made by people. Usually a lot of people, in a lot of different places, and at a lot of different times.
And those people don't work for free. So when you are doing your meditations on the "Law of Attraction," whatever it is you are intending to create has to come from the fruit of other people's labor.
I'm guess that when people meditate on things, they don't imagine they know the person who is going to provide them with the free stuff.
Which means they're kind of assuming that somebody, somewhere out there is going to give THEM something for nothing.
Why would somebody do that?
On the other hand, maybe they're thinking it's going to "poof" out of nothing, which contradicts their "non-randomness" principle.
This isn't an easy thing to think about for many people. Especially people who have spent tons of time AND money on LOA type product. But if you really want to get what you want out of this world, you've got to participate, not just meditate.
You've got to not only expect stuff from others, but you've got to provide stuff to others. Otherwise you're just pretending.
