Content Is Not The Most Important Thing When Communicating. Here's Why.

Your ability to interact with others will have a huge impact on how well you get what you want. Even if you aren't ever intending to sell anything, getting people to pay attention to you while you talk is a very powerful skill to have.

One way to build in the ability to deliver a compelling message is by building up your self beliefs. You can do so by visiting http://mindpersuasion.com/subliminal-messages/.

Most people believe that our ability to captivate audiences is based on the content of our message. If we have an important message, they'll listen. If we have a boring message, they won't.

While this is true , it's not necessarily true . Meaning you can have a pretty so-so message content wise, but if you deliver it with the right structure, it will be heard a lot more eagerly.

This is why newscasters are always good looking, rather than normal looking. Sure, the content is interesting, but there's lots of news stations. People would rather listen to the same content, all things being equal, from an attractive newscaster than an unattractive newscaster. It's not fair, but it's human nature none the less.

Does mean you need to run out and get plastic surgery to get your message heard? Not at all. But you do need to deliver it through some of cliffhanger model. This is when you take important ideas, and break them up a bit.

Don't deliver a complete idea all at once. Give half of an idea, talk about something else, and then give the other half of another idea.

You can even do this on the sentence level. Consider this sentence:

"Yesterday I went to the store and bought an apple."

Most people would say that like a normal sentence, and pause at the end. This will make it sound boring.

To make it sound more interesting, put a pause between the verbs, and any objects those verbs are operating on.

In the sentence above, you would say the sentence like this:

"Yesterday, I went to the (pause) store and I bought (pause) an apple."

Our brains are hard wired to hear verb-object combinations as single ideas. So when you break them up, your listeners be much more likely top pay attention.

When you do this many times throughout your speech, they'll suddenly find you very interesting, no matter what you are saying.
