Most of us have a love-hate relationship with money.
We'd love to have more, but we hate the idea of doing what we think it takes to get it.
To make matters more confusing, if you're like most normal people, you have some seriously
limiting beliefs about money.
To be sure, this isn't an easy thing to unravel, as there are a lot of overlapping issues, mostly negative.
For one, most of our parents didn't ever have enough money. This was likely recognized as a problem. And as humans tend to do, we tend to blame others, whenever we can, when we've got a problem.
So not only do we have a lot of experience with a lack of money, we've also got a lot of experience hearing adults around us telling us that they don't have money because it's somebody else's fault.
Now, taking responsibility for your life is one of the hardest things you'll ever do. But if you want to live a life of abundance and prosperity, it's something you HAVE to do.
If your game plan for getting rich is to sit patiently until some magic fairy shows up with a sack of cash, you may be waiting a while.
This is a tough question to ask yourself, but it can help put this into perspective. If that IS your goal of getting rich (the magic gnome strategy), why you? Out of all the billions of poor and starving people on planet Earth, why would that magic fairy choose YOU to give the cash to?
It's easy to fall into the trap of "I deserve it so I should get it" thinking. This can lead us to believe there's some kind of magic shortcut, where we don't have to DO anything, except "be open."
But the harsh truth of human existence is that in order to affect any kind of outcome, you've got to take action.
If you want to GET something, you've got to DO something.
Now, depending on your mindset, this can be terribly limiting or incredibly liberating.
Human life on Earth is based on interaction. Cooperation. Participation. Not solitary wanting and hoping.
In order to get what you want, all you've got to do is get in the game and give what you've got.
Every time you do that, you'll get feedback. That feedback will tell you EXACTLY what to do next in order to get closer to what you want.
When you get your mind right, it really is a beautiful process.
