RAPTURE: 1. the state of being carried away with joy, love, etc.; ecstasy. 2. an expression of great joy, pleasure, etc. 3. [Rare], a carrying away or being carried away in body or spirit. — Webster's New World Dictionary, Collegiate Edition

Obviously, article 3 of this definition more appropriately applies to the event of which is questioned; albeit, this momentous occasion will fill its loving participants with joy and ecstasy. Therefore and according to Webster's definition, rapture is a term that can be applied to redemption: despite the specific word not appearing the Bible. On the other hand, it is the common teachings of this event that are not true and are not Biblically supported. Thus, we will begin with common teachings: which truly is a worldly discernment expressing "smooth words" as opposed to a spiritual interpretation.

COMMON: 4. general; prevalent; widespread. 5. familiar; usual; met with frequently. 6. ordinary; undistinguished. 7. having no rank. 8. below ordinary; hence, 9. not refined, vulgar, low, coarse. N: 3. in ecclesiastical usage, a service suitable for any of a class of festivals. SYN.—common refers to that which is met with most frequently or is shared by all or most individuals in a group, body, etc., and may imply prevalence, usualness, or, in a depreciatory sense, INFERIORITY (a common belief). —Webster's New World Dictionary, Collegiate Edition

COMMON TEACHING: inferior

Prior to 1991, the Rapture commonly was taught as a separate and preceding-event-to-resurrection of the righteous dead, to-wit: at Christ's return, only the living righteous are to be taken up to heaven, where they will remain for 1000 years while the wicked are left behind very much alive or dead in the grave along with the righteous dead; after which time, Jesus and His sheep would return for final judgment of both the living and dead wicked as well as the dead righteous resurrected to glory. In summary, the living righteous experience rapture in one event and in a future event the dead righteous are resurrected to the Kingdom of God: purportedly here on earth.

Typical of lies, this concept has been expanded broadly and altered in the last ten years; based on erroneous interpretation of a Revelation event already having occurred as well as miss-identifying the players involved, together with using prophetic time as literal time: in this case Revelation c.11 invalidly mingled with Daniel c.9: specifically the final 7 years of Daniel's 70-weeks prophecy, or 490-years literal.

It now is being taught that two ancient prophets, two witnesses as it were— Isaiah and whomever— will appear here to preach God's Truth one more time for a period of 3-1/2 years, at the end of which they will be slain and left dead in the street for 3-1/2 days, then be resurrected upon Christ's return in the clouds: based on Revelation 11:2,8-12.

Supposedly, this occurs sometime between 2000 and possibly 2008: that in itself presenting fallacy. At the time of Christ's arrival— as assumed by verse 13— He will take up only pastors, preachers, ministers, evangelists, and theologians; spirit them away to the heavenly kingdom where, for a period of 7 years, they will learn what they will be doing back on earth at the expiration of the 7 years: based on Daniel c.9, to-wit: the rapture. At the close of 7 years, they return with Christ and work with Him for the next thousand years to restore earth and humanity to its former glory.

During their absence of 7 years, humanity will be in utter chaos: their only spiritual leader the Devil himself and who sets up an apostate church. Purportedly, upon return of these dubious religious leaders is when the righteous and wicked dead are resurrected, the latter for a final opportunity to accept Jesus and worship His Father in total obedience while Satan is bound and chained for this thousand year reign of, supposedly, peace.

At the close of this thousand years, Satan is released "for a little season" to convince those still having refused salvation that they can defeat God in a final battle. The season ends and the Book of Life is opened: Satan together with his fallen angels and all the wicked and filthy who refused salvation then are utterly destroyed and the work of restoring earth is complete.

Thus, this entire misleading doctrine means no one ever would enter the gates of heaven, with the exception of pastors, preachers, ministers, evangelists, and theologians: who consider themselves the elite or elect. Biblical terms for this select group of people are : Pharisees, scribes, doctors, lawyers, pastors and shepherds. Contrarily, God's Word— according to Matthew 23:23-35— casts WOE upon these during Christ's ministry and also today to any and all teaching lies for Adonai's truth. It only takes convincing one person of one lie to be so condemned.

SPIRITUAL: 1. of the spirit or the soul, often in a religious or moral aspect, as distinguished from the body. 2. of, from, or concerned with the intellect, or what is often thought of as the better or higher part of the mind. 3. of or consisting of spirit; not corporeal. 4. characterized by the ascendancy of the spirit; showing much refinement of thought and feeling. 5. of religion or the church; sacred, devotional, feeling. 6. spiritualistic or supernatural. SPIRITUALIZE: 1. to make spiritual; deprive of materiality or worldliness. 2. to give a spiritual sense or meaning to.

While the common rendering above implies two resurrections, of which scripturally there are only two separate events of resurrection of the dead— just not as they say— this philosophy is worldly in every aspect as well as wholly belies other relevant scriptures found not only in The Revelation but throughout the Bible as well: especially the Gospels. Therefore, a spiritual interpretation in similar format as the common is rendered hereinbelow.

SPIRITUALIZED TEACHING: void of the worldly

The TSaS response to previous Question #69 references Daniel c.9, fully interpreting the prophecy of 490 years: which events began in 457 B.C. and concluded in total at onset of 34 A.D., clearly revealing that the last seven years were fulfilled. This immediately discerns the common interpretation as a lie meant to deceive the world into believing they have another 1000 years in which to get their act together or perish thereafter: during which they will be ministered to by Christ Himself. "No lie is of the Truth (I John 2:21)." This latter being the case, then the remaining common discernment must be a lie.

Since the common reference to Daniel's 70-weeks prophecy previously has been proven from a spiritual rendering, we shall compare spiritually the remainder of Christendom's common rendering: which will not be easy, because it takes the whole of BIND UP THE TESTIMONY, SEAL THE LAW's 211 pages to properly and chronologically interpret The Revelation. Therefore, much will be omitted for brevity's sake. Hence, again, members are urged to obtain a copy of the book, wherein paragraph-by-paragraph all scripture references are provided in a Scripture Bibliography consuming almost half the book's 385 pages together with a Resource Bibliography and harmonious Prophetic Chart, a summary of the Dead Sea Scrolls and select poetry under "The Voice of Praise."

Revelation 11:2,8-12 speaks of the two witnesses, which in previous TSaS responses have been proven scripturally to be the Old and New Testaments, each being separate and apart as well as having been written at two distinctly different ages: testament being another word for witness. Verse 2 mentions a prophetic time frame of forty-two months or 3-1/2 years in which they preach the Truth for the last time: interpreted properly by verse 3 as 1260 prophetic days thus 1260 years. This same time frame is noted by Daniel as "a time and times and half a time:" a time being one prophetic year or 360 literal years and times being two prophetic years or 720 literal years.

There is no way verse 2 is referring to one prophecy and verse 3 to yet another separate portended event: inasmuch as earth, in its sinful state, has a predestined life of only 7000 years from beginning through the great flood and through the 1000 years reign in heaven, during which this final thousand years earth will lie fallow— which means it cannot support life of any kind. Therefore, if every prophecy occurred without another occurring until each ended, the time frame would far exceed 6000 years before Christ returns: prophetic time does not become literal time until His return.

Everything prophecy reveals from that point on is cited Biblically as literal time: concerning the final 1000 years of the 7000 and beyond. Hence, all Biblical prophecy prior to Christ's return is contained within the first 6000 years: i.e. the specific prophetic times noted herein, cited as literal years— 70, 150, 70, 10, 3-1/2, 3-1/2, 1260, 1290, 1335, 1810, and 2300: would total 8302 years, were not all of these events occurring within two main time frames within one time period.

And, that is so: they begin with Israel's 70 year captivity having begun in 606 B.C. and each of the remaining occur within the 2300 years having ended in 1844 A.D. This would account for common renderings use of prophetic time as literal instead of converting it to literal based on God's equation: in order to make it fit, albeit with flaw. These, however, are not all the Bible's prophecies: only these having occurred between 606 B.C. up to 1844 A.D., not taking into account all prophecy relevant back through 605 B.C. and on back through earth's beginning— for which no date is applied— and leaving the Philadelphia and Laodicea church ages yet to be fulfilled hence 1844 A.D. Philadelphia began in 1844 and ended at 1991, when Laodicea began. In researching the generations beginning with Adam through Christ, it appears earth is about to expire its 6000^th year— any day, any hour now.

Revelation 11:9 then refers to 3-1/2 prophetic days, which is 3-1/2 literal years the witnesses lay dead in the street.  The only historical record perfectly matching Revelation 11:2,8-12 begins with France in November of 1793, when by law it banned Christianity from its nation, burned Bibles in bonfires, and turned churches into brothels. Appalled by what then happened in their nation, as well as losing credibility with other nations, they finally revoked this blasphemous law in June of 1797, exactly 3-1/2 years after slaying God's two witnesses. At that point in history, the Bible suddenly became translated into most languages as well as easily available to everyone: thus, becoming so visible throughout the world, it was as though its enemies could see it in the heavens above them.

France's actions occurred within simultaneous events of the 1260, 1290, 1810 and 2300 years prophecies: each of which actually happen during the 2300 years. It was one of the resulting signs of the supremacy of Satan's synagogue having been firmly established by 538 A.D. For the purpose of this response, it is not necessary to clearly identify that great whore and, ultimately, her harlot daughters: this has been done in earlier TSaS responses.

Already having rendered common teachings full of lies, we could stop right here: but, what has been offered doesn't fully explain what occurs when Christ returns. Both the Old and New Testaments, however, do explain fully. Therefore and regarding redemption, or as commonly referred to as the rapture, an excerpt directly from the Biblical interpretation of The Revelation, mentioned at the beginning and several times throughout this response, is provided hereinbelow.

NOTE: It must be understood that The Revelation IS NOT written chronologically, as Christendom touts today. Neither does it address only these end days; rather Revelation and Daniel overlap: with Revelation written in a series of current, flashbacks and flash forwards. Further, there are numerous Old Testament books providing added clarity and/or additional information to The Revelation in its entirety.

At the end of each paragraph a number/letter(s) will appear, which refer readers to a Scripture Bibliography containing all AKJV verses paraphrased in any given paragraph. The appropriate corresponding references will be included at text conclusion. For purposes of comparing paraphrase with scripture, it is recommended this response be printed out.

Since this discussion is about redemption, text neither will begin prior to said event nor proceed into what happens during the thousand years following ascension. Suffice it to say, all Yeshua's sheep will be in heaven during this phase: after which, final and utter destruction is brought upon the wicked, earth is purged by fire, then restored to like Eden, and thereupon El's sheep reside forever in an eternal life of perfection.

Also, this excerpt begins after six of the seven vials of plagues are poured out "upon the earth:" indicating occurrences in sporadic places around the planet, as opposed to covering the entire global. These began with Desert Storm, 1991— Armageddon, as it were— and are validated both scripturally and through appropriate official worldwide records, easily obtained at the time this specific research was conducted between 1991 through 9/11/2001. Ring a bell? It's in The Revelation.

The seventh plague is poured out "upon the air," denoting global proportions, and only in Christ's wake as He crosses our skies from east to west "taking up" His sheep to "meet Him in the clouds." Any day, any hour now. Hence, the excerpt picks up with Christ being instructed to begin Harvest, which are the last 8 pages of the specified chapter.

WARNING: this excerpt contains identities discovered in previous chapters and/or in the first part not included of this chapter; therefore, explanation does not appear herein for how those entities were identified as flawlessly fitting a particular Revelation metaphor. This is sure to create questions and, perhaps, even doubt; a problem which cannot be overcome in a small piece of a whole work: only by reading the whole. Therefore, readers are cautioned not to form judgments, pro or con, until having read the book.

The passage ends with "It is done!" This means that all prophecy up to and including the harvest is finished, but not all is completed. There is then the seventh 1000 years in heaven filled with activity while earth lies fallow: her Sabbath rest— which is the next chapter— the millennium expires, then follows execution of the wicked's previous sentencing and that is ensued by earth's and the heavens' restoration: in total, 3 more chapters after this excerpt before The Revelation is covered from beginning to end. "It is done" also signals that Revelation cited time henceforth is literal, no longer prophetic.

There is more about the earth lying fallow, which when read, will lend exceeding clarity as to why there will be no one alive on this earth during the anticipated millennium.

RECOMMENDATION: read the entire excerpt before conducting a paraphrase-scripture comparison. To take the time to compare while reading will result in loss of content comprehension. However, comparison is a must after reading this text.

Another angel comes out of the temple and shouts to Christ, "Thrust in your sickle, for it is time for you to reap the ripe harvest of the earth. Your saints, they who have obeyed the Commandments of God and possess the faith of Jesus, are ready for harvesting!" –102L

A host of angels go forth to separate the wicked from among the just, from both the living and the dead. "Lift up your heads all you living saints! Look up, for you shall see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Awake and sing, all you saints that dwell in the grave, for your dew is as the dew of herbs." Then, the earth releases her dead in Christ to be redeemed with the righteous living by their Lord God Almighty. –103L

This day's light is neither clear nor dark, but in the evening it is light. Whether summer or winter, it is how this day shall be, a day known only to the Father. Heaven opens up like a scroll and mankind shall see a white cloud upon which sits the Son of man, upon his head a gold crown and in his hand a sharp sickle. He stands to measure the earth by the yardstick of righteousness while the sun and the moon stand still in their places. Then suddenly, the light of the moon becomes like the sun and the sun shall shine seven times brighter as Jesus moves over the earth upon the cloud, His brightness like the light with horns of power coming out of His hand. Before the Holy One came there went diseases upon the world, yet with His arrival burning coals go forth at His feet and great hailstones follow after Him. A fiery sword precedes the Lord to burn His enemies who hate Him and the seventh plague follows behind Him, driving asunder the wicked and causing the everlasting mountains to scatter and the perpetual hills to sink down. –104L

Look! The name of the Lord comes from far burning with the heavy burden of His anger and His lips are full of indignation and His tongue is a devouring fire. The whole earth is lighted by His brightness and the wicked see the light of His arrows and the glittering shine of His spear as He tramples heathens in anger. They tremble as the heavens declare the Almighty's righteousness and all the people see His glory. Christ thrusts in His sickle to harvest the earth of her righteous sheep and He binds up the breach to His remnant Hebrews, healing the stroke of their wound received on behalf of the Gentiles. –105L

Out of Christ's mouth goes a sharp sword to strike the wicked nations and peoples with reminders of His Truth, for it is written that they shall understand perfectly why they are left behind. At the same time, Jesus is taking up the saints to meet Him in the air, for I the Lord take them to heaven's sure dwellings and quiet resting places. I shall rule them with a rod of iron, for I AM their refuge and fortress, delivering them from the snare of the fowler and from the noisome sores. I cover them beneath my feathered wings, for God's Laws have been and shall always be their shield and buckler. They have not feared the terrors of night nor arrows that flew by day nor the diseases that walk in darkness, and they did not fear the destruction of noonday. They trusted that, though a thousand died at their left side and ten thousand at their right during the plagues, none would touch them. –106L

Thus, now my disciples witness the sentencing of the wicked and filthy, because the saints made the Lord their refuge and neither evil nor plague has fallen upon them but only upon the evil. I Jesus tread the winepress of Almighty God's fierceness and wrath. –107L

Then, a host of angels cast the wicked into earth's furnace of fire. Another angel, standing in the sun, orders all the birds that fly in the skies, "Come! Gather yourselves to the supper of the great God. You shall eat the flesh of wicked kings and captains and mighty men and the flesh of horses and those who rode upon them. You shall dine on the flesh of all filthy men, both free and enslaved, both small and great." All the wicked souls shriek and wail and grind their teeth in agony and pain. –108L

All the earth's kings and their armies, those gathered in the Middle East to make war with God, see these things begin. But, the Lord had confounded the minds of they that make and serve graven images and idols overlaid with gold and silver, which do not profit them, and who teach lies and worship the beast, thus they gathered untimely. Behind Christ, as His sheep and He move westward across the skies taking up all the Lord's, wheresoever they are, the seventh angel of the seven plagues pours out his golden vial into the air, destroying all earth and all that are left upon it. –109L

The Lord has risen to shake terribly the earth and causes His glorious voice to be heard. The lighting down of his arm is seen with the indignation of His anger as Yeshua goes forth in the day of the whirlwind of His fury. It is a grievous whirlwind falling grievously upon the head of the wicked, for in these latter days the wicked understood perfectly the error of their ways. They did not obey the voice of God nor did they walk in His Law, for I told the people to seek good and not evil that they might live. But, they did not hate evil nor did they love the good. Neither did they establish my Judgments in their tabernacles and cities, that the Lord God of hosts might be merciful unto the wicked and filthy. –110L

They did nothing that the Lord commanded them to do; therefore, the Lord has caused this evil to come upon them. Open your doors, all you wicked, to the flame of devouring fire. You shall be scattered by the storm and hailstones. The breath of the Lord kindles the fire, as though the wicked and filthy were a great pile of wood. Howl! For the cedar has fallen and the vintage forests have come down. Howl with the voice of the howling shepherds, for their glory and pride are spoiled! –111L

It was written: The Lord shall come as an eagle against the houses of the Lord because they have transgressed His covenant and trespassed against His Law. They established kings and princes, but not by God. They made idols of silver and gold, thinking riches and military strength would prevent their destruction. They have plowed wickedness and sown wind and, accordingly, have reaped iniquity and the whirlwind! They have eaten lies because they trusted in both the doctrine of men and the behavior of multitudes that follow men's ways. Thus, the flock of the slaughter is fed with fire. –111L/a

The seventh angel pours out his vial upon the air over all the earth. At once, there are voices shouting and thunders and lightnings. Then a great and mighty earthquake such as never felt before. No, none so great since humanity has been upon the earth, for this is the day of Jehovah's vengeance. The hills melt like wax at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth. The lightnings and voices and thunderings and earthquake are accompanied by great hail, each icy stone of about 50 to 100 pounds! And, the wicked and filthy left behind, those who refused to cease their rebellion against God's Precepts and His Judgments, blasphemy Elohim because of the deadly hail, for it is exceedingly great. –112L

Every mountain is reduced to rubble and the islands are moved out of their places. The grievous hail is mingled with fire and strikes both man and beast and every herb of the field and breaks every tree from one end of the earth to the other end. The fig tree shall not blossom nor fruit bear on the vines or olives on its tree. The fields shall yield no food, for the sheep have been cut off from the goats and there shall be no herd in Satan's stalls. And, wherever wicked bodies lay, there the eagles gather for a feast. The Lord fills the earth with dead bodies and breaks the leaders over many countries, for their dead bodies are food for the fowls of heaven. –113L

Those slain by the Lord will lie from one end of the earth even to the other end. They will be spread before the sun and the moon and all the fallen host of heaven, whom the wicked loved and served and after whom they had sought and walked in their blasphemous doctrines. They never shall be mourned neither gathered together nor buried. They shall be like dung upon the ground and upon the face of the earth. Howl, you shepherds, and cry! For the day of your slaughter is accomplished and you have fallen like a pleasant vessel. You had no way to flee or escape the Lord, for in His fierce anger I have ruined the pastures, destroyed your peaceable habitations and left the land desolate. –114L

Destroyed by fire is the beast of religious apostasy: a corrupt religion, the Mother of Harlots and mistress of witchcrafts situated in Rome's Vatican. The loftiness and haughtiness of men has been destroyed and his idols utterly eradicated. –115L

Then, a mighty angel takes up a great stone like a millstone and casts it into the sea as he says, "With violence two-thirds of great Babylon, called the great whore of Papal Rome sitting upon pagan power, and her doctrines have been destroyed and shall be found no more. Also destroyed is the remaining third part of Great Babylon, the young nation that lived rejoicing and without fear, the United States' harboring the whore's harlot daughters called Protestantism. They were more defiled than even their mother! –116L

"The sounds of America's entertainments shall be heard no more and her craftsmen of whatsoever craft shall no more be found. The noise of her factories shall never be heard again and neither shall the voices of brides and bridegrooms be heard. For America's merchants were the great men of the earth and by her sorceries were all nations deceived and made rich. Found in her were the blood of prophets and saints and of all who where slain upon the earth. –116L/a

"Rejoice forever over Babylon's destruction, you in heaven and the holy apostles and prophets, for God has avenged you! Rejoice in the Lord and have joy in the God of your salvation." –117L

On this day the Lord removes the beauty of mankind's expensive trinkets: anklets and bracelets, lace and veils and bonnets, their ornaments and headbands and perfume boxes. He destroys their rings and earrings and nose jewels and their many suits of apparel, the priests' and pastors' capes and nuns' wimples, hairpins and decorative glass. There will no longer be fine linen, only torn garments and ripped girding and baldness instead of well-set hair. For all these riches were not sweet smells to God. Now there is burning fire instead of beauty and it shall stink. –118L

Earth's streams are turned into pitch and its dust into fiery stone. The land has become burning tar. Wicked nations have been removed, leaving no living inhabitants, their streets waste and cities destroyed. And, the fires shall not go out night or day and the smoke and torment of those who worshipped the beast and his image and whosoever bore the mark of his name shall go up for a thousand years, and from generation to generation the earth shall lay a wasteland. No creature, man nor beast, shall pass through it during the thousand years of earth's Sabbath. For the old heavens and the earth now are reserved for consuming fire on the day of execution and perdition of ungodly men. Then, I will utterly purge all things from off the bloodied land: man and beast, birds and fish, and the stumbling blocks of the wicked. –119L

Read in the book of the Lord! Not one of these things shall fail. The Lord commanded it and, in 1991, God's spirit gathered the wicked for the slaughter of this day. It is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that troubled His sheep, and it is a righteous thing with God that the sheep should rest with the heavenly host for a thousand years. –120L

The Lord has made the earth empty and waste. He has turned it upside down and scattered the wicked dead across the face of it. The land is utterly emptied and totally spoiled, for the Lord had said that His anger was kindled against the shepherds and He would punish them and their goats. Thus, the earth mourns and deteriorates, its beauty gone. The wicked of the earth rot, for they defiled the earth with the blood of mankind and transgressed God's Laws, changed His ordinance of time and broke the everlasting covenant of His Holy seventh-day Sabbath by changing His perpetual Statutes and wasted the Lord's house. That great defenced nation is a ruin and it shall never be built again. Therefore, the curse of death has devoured the earth and the wicked therein. Their bodies are burned and everything rots. –121L

The United States, that great city of confusion, is destroyed: left in desolation and destruction, for there was a shaking of the olive tree to separate the goats from the sheep and Christ has harvested his small flocks. The goats have fallen like grapes to rot upon the ground until the day of execution. The earth is utterly broken down, clean dissolved and moved exceedingly. It has come to pass that the Lord has punished the host of the high ones that are on high and the kings of the earth upon the earth. –122L

The day has come that burns like an oven and all the proud that behaved wickedly have become like stubble, leaving them neither root nor branch, and the seas and the rivers have been dried up. For the Lord Jesus came with His mighty angels and in flaming fire took vengeance on those who did not know God and did not obey the Lord Jesus Christ's gospel. They have been punished but their souls not utterly destroyed, reserved instead for that great day of execution. –123L

They have been sentenced and reserved, imprisoned in fiery torment on this wasted earth until the time when the saints and I return. After a thousand years they shall be visited for absolute and everlasting annihilation, that the Lord will no longer see them or the smoke of their torment. The moon shall be confounded and the sun ashamed, for then the Lord of hosts shall reign in mount Zion from a New Jerusalem upon the earth renewed like Eden. Christ will show glory before God's elders. –124L

The Lord has been strength to the poor and needy in their distress, a refuge from the storm, and a shadow from the heat when the terrible ones blasted a storm against them. The Lord has brought down the noisy blasphemers into the heat of a dry place. The branch of the terrible ones has been brought low. The wicked and filthy had built up Zion with blood and Jerusalem with iniquity, therefore I have plowed it down like a field and Jerusalem has become a heap. –125L
