Prophecy's Extra Oil 71: Van Impe Changes & False Prophets

Dear Sheep, please forgive the delay in our Sabbath Oil. The last month and a half has had Sister BonnieQ seeing multiple doctors, going through multiple tests, and at last getting much needed dental work started. This much activity plus tests often kick off MS and Lupus episodes, and so it was the past week: a little slow but otherwise just fine!

News Brief: Two volcanoes erupt in South America, Iceland still erupting, the three disrupting air traffic everywhere; England's new elected candidate quickly resigns; Total of 8 Gray Whales uncommon in Puget Sound in last month, 6 dead of starvation, +1 swam 150 miles up Sammamish River (all bone, barely able to swim), + another entered Sound few days ago (looks better than last but not as big as could be); US debt in trillions means each citizen's debt well over $100K; BP effort to cap oil gusher in Gulf failed, say relief well will not be ready until August, thus 4M gallons a day still pouring out; ship spills oil Alaska coast; ship crash spills oil along European coast.

TBN: Fri, Jack Van Impe— Recently, we pointed out how Sunday keeps changing its interpretation of God's Laodicea prophecies; Baptist evangelical Van Impe being one of the most prolific in making rapid changes and who is always quick to refer to his doctorate degree in theology as well as declaring that what he delivers is "the truth." God never changes and neither does His Word or His Interpretations; thus, God's prophets deliver the same interpretation again and again.

Van Impe's broadcast Friday night was riddled with illogical changes regarding a purported seven-year tribulation. For several years he has claimed the seven years was based on Daniel's 490-yr prophecy, chapter 9, having stopped at 483 years, its last seven years to be the tribulation of today's Laodicea. Extra Oils 69 and 70 revealed his latest prediction that the seven years would begin in approximately 2011 and end in 2017, still based on Daniel's 490-yr. prophecy.

This week, however, Van Impe suddenly changed it to be based on Daniel's previous prophecy in chapter 7, wherein Daniel had been enlightened that said portent would extend for "a season and a time." This particular prophecy is separate from and precedes the 490 years Daniel was given in chapter 9. We find the "season and time" easier for Van Impe to attempt to fit his square peg into God's perfect circle, in that very few people would know what "a season and a time" means in either prophetic or literal time frames. He is banking on this lack of wisdom, thus people will blindly accept his announcement that it relates to seven actual years. After all, he holds man's doctorate degree.

"A season and time" are more Bible-provided codes to interpreting the prophecies, in addition to "an hour is a day and a day is a year." Between Noah and Daniel, much is gained to understanding how the codes work numerically, then applied to the various signs given; which establishes beginning and ending dates for each of God's prophecies. From Noah is learned that God's statutory literal month is 30 days and from common knowledge that "a season" is three months— a prophetic season is 90 days or 90 literal years. "A time" is 360 prophetic days or 360 literal years; thus "times" would be 720 days or 720 literal years and "half a time" is 180 prophetic days or 180 literal years.

Chapter 7 of Daniel points to a portion of prophecy that would extend for "a season and a time," therefore 90 years plus 360 years totals 450 literal years. While the whole of chapter seven actually covers the rise and fall of ancient powers right through to earth's end at judgment day, this 450 years is the time frame of the ancient Babylonian empire; at the close of which its power succumbed to the Persian Empire yet Babylon remained in a "respectful" position. The little horn, mentioned last week, that rose up among the ten horns (nations) is Papal Rome.

As can be clearly understood, Van Impe IS relying on his viewers' lack of wisdom about the Bible's prophetic codes. The Bible itself converts "a season and a time" to 450 literal years; not the seven Van Impe spewed from the television screen on Sabbath night.

One of God's prophets for the Sardis and early Philadelphia church ages was Uriah Smith, who wrote "Daniel and The Revelation." The book is available and likely can be obtained from Amazon or from any SDA Bible Book Store and should be in every serious Christian's spiritual library. It clearly sets out Daniel chapter 7.

Smith's work and presentation are thorough and flawlessly logical: it is by Divine power. He has taken both Daniel and Revelation in order by chapter, shown how the codes are Biblically revealed and applied as well as included all appropriate historical events that could be the only ones of which each book prophesies. However, Smith and other of God's prophets for those two ages could only vaguely interpret the remaining of Philadelphia and the final church age of Laodicea because the event signs, said signs written in the Bible, could not be seen by them due to having not yet begun.

Today, the companion to Smith's book is "Bind Up the Testimony, Seal the Law." Rather than compiled in order by Bible book, as was Smith's, the Holy Spirit ordered that "Bind Up" be written chronologically and as we speak today because the time is so short and understanding must come quickly; therefore "Bind Up" compiles Smith's 30+ years of research and study with a more recent 30+ years in order to complete the interpretation for Philadelphia and Laodicea. That is over 60 years of research and study plus the time involved in the writing of the books. Added to this are the Extra Oils being put out by Remnant Doctrine Keepers: every word the sheep need is given and easily available.

Just as God's prophet Daniel was not able to determine the date of the end of the Jew's 70-years captivity UNTIL the signs began to manifest, so God's prophets today have been able to set dates in accordance with unfolding signs: the last date given some months ago, two years before the main event will occur— Christ's return in the clouds. In Daniel's case he discerned the dates exactly two years before the Jews were set free; which event then led into the beginning of the 490 years prophecy.

The majority fail to remember God's statement, "I do nothing that I do not first tell my prophets." The Bible reveals that the ancient prophets were only a few and they are just as few today. Appropriate interpretations would be given to God's few prophets designated for the remaining of Philadelphia and all of Laodicea eras. The prophets' have done their work but no one is listening; not even those of the Seventh Day Adventist churches still in the General Conference or the Independent SDA groups outside the Conference: the very ones for whom the interpretations are intended as well as this church age's "cold." Instead, their leaders and Internet sites are labeling them —

False Prophets: Please recall that Amazing Facts.com has been mentioned in several of Extra Oils as one of the SDA, or Sabbatarian, websites containing a lot of Biblical data. Over a month ago, Florida's Sister Tammy noted that they were saying earth IS in the Laodicea era but she could find no applicable signs and dates presented as confirmation. At that time she sent an email to AF asking which signs and dates they were using to confirm Laodicea's beginning date. She did not get an answer until two days ago. To get right to the point, we quote one significant paragraph from AF's response:

AF wrote via its representative Eugene: "The seven church ages describe the general state (doctrinal and spiritual) of the church through the ages. As the doctrinal and spiritual state of the church changes gradually it is difficult to make a transition from one church age to another with a date or a certain year."

RDK Response: "Are you unaware of [Ellen White's] statement, "There has not been an age in which God did not have His prophets." EGW and Uriah Smith could not predict an ending date for Philadelphia or the beginning of Laodicea because they could not see the signs given for those periods. Do you not realize God has His few prophets today that HAVE that information? What you are doing with Philadelphia and Laodicea is causing believers to be unprepared, placing your focus on the wrong events; not seeing that the first 6 plagues were poured out in 1844 and today only the "dregs of God's wrath" have been poured out.

You really should read "Bind Up the Testimony, Seal the Law." It IS the Holy Spirit's interpretation and is totally Biblical and without logical flaw or man's opinion. Jesus gave signs to clearly mark the dates. EGW and Uriah Smith could only address the first 5 church ages and the beginning of Philadelphia. God's latest prophets (few there are) HAVE been given and give the remainder.

AF's 12-hr Response: "There is no such statement by Ellen White as you quote. I would be interested to see what the statement actually says that you might be referring to. But you are by all means wrong regarding the nature of the plagues. And so I brand you as a false prophet. There are few positions more dangerous." ~ Eugene

Upon receiving a copy of the above response, Sister Tammy was astounded by Eugene's charge, "He's sitting in judgment without any corrobrating evidence! Now he's in danger of judgment." Unfortunately, Eugene's judgment could group him with those who slayed the ancient prophets. Also, Tammy was the one who had found EG White's comment and had reported it to Bonnie sometime back; so, she was clearly taken aback by his denial. Sister Debby of Texas commented about this at Face Book, "Bonnie, you have only spoke the truth and you have never said you are a prophet. This is just another sign of the times. Christ will be here soon. I love you !!!!!"

The sad thing about this is that Amazing Facts is, as are Sabbath Sermons and Remnant of God websites, in a position to spread God's interpretation even farther than does our Remnant Doctrine Keepers and Seventh Seal Library. Alas, not one of the three sites are willing to go beyond their limited knowledge. It is also sad that they are rapidly departing from the writings of Ellen G White, whom all of you know Bonnie has not read (today informed by Sister Tammy), and that of Uriah Smith, whom the Holy Spirit directed Bonnie to read and confirm his research.

Both White and Smith were but only two of God's few prophets for the two partial ages in which they lived, having upon them the same inability to predict future dates as did Daniel but perfectly able to set the beginning and ending date of Sardis and the beginning of Philadelphia: beyond that would be for future prophets to "see" and set dates together with defined interpretations.

There are two lessons in these two reports for all of us: 1. Unless someone has given ALL of God's Word regarding prophecies and even the whole Bible, disregard what they bring and seek out the whole of God's Word; and, 2. Be very careful not to fall into the pit of casting judgment when a preponderance of evidence has not been given and reviewed by you or take the word of another who has not viewed and analyzed the evidence God provides.

In the meantime, dear Sheep, keep your chins up, your back straight, stand strong in God's Truth while speaking only His Truth, support and aid one another, and be silent until the Spirit motivates you as well as fearless in the face of persecution or in the face of death. DO AS DID JESUS! He was falsely accused, falsely charged and falsely slain. As He said (paraphrased), IF we follow in His steps, "So shall ye be falsely accused, falsely charged, and a few shall be falsely slain."
