Bonnie and Clyde, c. 2016
Somewhere in the dark recesses of every man’s soul, Clyde Barrow lives on. And snuggled up next to him is Bonnie Parker—the sexiest woman who ever packed heat strapped to her thigh. Fantasies? Perhaps. But the only barrier that prevents them from bursting forth and reappearing on today’s scene for the true daredevil in us all is an appropriate getaway machine, one that is consistent with the times and will let us relive those glorious days of yesteryear.
Wait no longer. That machine is here. And the dream once again is alive.
Perhaps the dream and the reality are not for every man or woman. You must also have a little larceny in your veins—high stakes larceny, that is, as in pulling off a bank heist, and then out running any copper who might dare to give chase, and the daring to blaze your way in, around, and over every obstacle in your path. Let’s put the emphasis on the word “over.” A getaway machine today must be able to fly over all obstacles and off into the wild blue yonder.
Far across the deep blue waters of the Atlantic, a Slovakian start up company is building that dream machine. Silicon Valley can keep its Teslas and robotic cars: Slovakia’s AeroMobil just unveiled a flying wonder suitable only for dreamers of the Bonnie and Clyde genre. It’s here. It’s real. And it’s spectacular.
This sleek two-seater will be ready next year for all getaway artists. You may have to pull of a conventional heist or two in order to afford it. It will sell for several hundred thousand dollars. It has a top speed of 124 mph and a range of 435 miles. Those numbers won’t stack up against the F-16, but they will let you elude any patrol car on the scene. Imagine the look on the face of an Andy Griffith when he sees you spread your wings, lift off, and soar above Aunt Bee’s house.
It’s not ready yet. But the prototype has made a few test flights. Click on this link and put yourself in the cockpit. There’s room for only one passenger. You’re on your own in finding your Bonnie Parker.
While the Jetsons are a bit off yet, it looks like James Bond is here with this one. The only drawback is I'm not sure weight requirements would allow you to carry much cash, especially if you were hauling a safe full of it. Weight would greatly hamper one's style to have to leave money behind in that ETM that you couldn't crack.
A fun idea or concept. But as I recall, Clyde went around stealing those Fords preferring V8s, and I don't think that these rides will be as readily available in the next small town like ubiquitous Fords were.
Killer With Three Heads is the second book in the Killer series. Bulletproof Morris ‘Mojo’ Johnson returns to New York as John Morrison after a 10 years’ absence to find the people responsible for kidnapping his daughter, Maria.
The most difficult thing that two humans can attempt is to communicate. No, not talk, communicate! Most relational problems are either caused by or aggravated by a failure to communicate properly. Learn how to do just that, communicate. See how much
