Battle of the Bully Billionaires

Let’s Get Ready to Rumble…

What fun this political year could hold for us all!  The match of the mighty mastodons is shaping up.  In the red corner is Donald Trump, champion of dastardly deceitful billionaires everywhere; and in the yellow corner are the Koch brothers, plus Sheldon Adelson, et al., champions of card-carrying incendiary ideologues everywhere.  Lightweights Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio are ringside hoping to get their pretty faces showered with great balls of sweat, and to learn more about how to hone their skills as deceitful lying misfits.  Let the clashing and the bashing begin!   With any luck the entire house of sinfully stacked cards known as carnivorous conservatism will come a-tumblin’ down.  And that would be a win/win/win outcome for everyone:  America would win; justice would win; and humanity would win.  Even the legacy of Antonin Scalia would find its permanent place in the Great Abyss of ill repute.  And for that, Karma would be pleased, and the Scales of Cosmic Equilibration might even be rebalanced.

This much we know for certain:  Honor, trust, and courage will not be found anywhere near this match up that is shaping up. No way, no how.  This is diabolical carnage in the making, born, bred, and yanked up from the depths of hell.  Mein Gott!  Even the rotting spirits of Josef Goebbels, Heinlich Himmler, und der Fuehrer himself might awaken for this battle.

The Opening Barrage:  The first blows have already been struck.  Rubio’s puppeteers have struck hard with a TV ad calling the Donald a dufus.  According to this wobbly weapon Rubio is an “expert” in foreign policy, whilst the Donald’s experience is limited to housing a Chinese bank in one of his buildings put up my undocumented workers.  And, of course, the country can ne’re afford to put someone up against Vladimir Putin, the master sleuth of all time in foreign jabberwocky by one who double speaks.  Well, that makes perfect sense according to the logic of 3rd grade dropouts.

Trump Fires Back:  “Never Hire a Boy to Do a Man’s Job:  Sorry little RUBE.  You don’t have the swagger to negotiate with Vladimir Putin and…actually run a country.  Maybe one day when you’re all grown up, but for now a real man will do the job.  Now drink your milk and eat your cookies.  Nappy time!”   Now that is funny caricature.

Score round one for the Donald.

If there is a knockout in the works, it is more likely to come from the Trump than from the Chump.  And that would give us the lesser of two evils on the conservative side of the ballot to choose from in the main event.  The Trump appears to hold the trump card to this outcome. And in November that would give us either Hillary or Bernie as our next prez.  America wins!

But if a draw is in the cards, and a “down and dirty” mud fest takes place at the conservative convention, and the fight continues on the convention floor, we could all be witness to a bloody slugfest that dribbles and drags on for days, and that too would guarantee the victory to either the Hillary or the Bern. America wins!

For now, all I can say is let me hear a fever pitch from fight fans:  “Are you ready to watch the Donald defeat the withering wannabes?”   White on.  I mean right on…whatever.

Fun read. Now, for my money, there is only one way to take him down: a juicy scandal that he can't say, "I know nothing about that" like he did Sunday morning on the news when he said he couldn't condemn David Duke, as he doesn't know who he is. Yeah, and I've got some wonderful ocean front property to sell in Missouri. Well, like me, (just posting "Fossilized Ancestry") sometimes one just has to ground some angst or it might turn into fodder for even more fascist assault. Reading this gave me smiles, but then I had to correct myself. It's f.#^&%.g scary.

I used to try to catch a movie before falling to sleep over here in Doha (being a die-hard movie buff), but now I just turn to CNN (I don't get Fox here) which provides all the entertainment one could ever want, what with this primary election campaign going. You have got to hand it to Trump: He is entertaining. It's like an addiction waiting for more Trump to trump. And yes, Edward, I fully agree with you, the other two "losers" (to quote Donald) are a laughing stock. Poor Rubio was on and on about Trump misspelling "choke" when Trump was accusing Rubio in a tweet (horrible word) that Rubio was a "choke-artist", and it was actually Rubio who was misspelling the word. That's what happens when you are not a native speaker of English. Oh, and by the way, I enjoyed your piece. Let's have more of them. Thanks Edward. John

Chuckles! Great humor in this analysis of the fight of the presidential campaign season of the century. May the best man (sorry women, but maybe Sarah) win this slugfest of mudslinging--I prefer women mud wrestling better.

While the Donald does appear to have the upper hand, the other Cuban refugee, Cruz, the smooth talking snake in the grass, lies waiting to snack on the left over delegates for a ringside seat.

Donald touts the polls that show him masterfully in the lead everywhere, "and with all everybody." But has he seen the poll taken yesterday that shows that 70% of Americans wish Obama's legacy to continue. No. Donald is seeing polls of Republican conservatives. From the 30% of Americans who want to discredit Obama's legacy and turn back the clock to more favorable times for the rich. It is interesting that guys like the Donald got infinitely richer during Obama's presidency then they did during Republican administrations.
