In this era of lunatic politics, there are very few people, places, or agencies left untouched by the ravaging tentacles of the Trump administration. He hasn’t passed much legislation yet, but…he has stacked the Supreme Court with an ultra-right-winger; installed an anti-education person to run the Education Department; gave us a climate-denier to run the EPA; an oil driller with close Russian connections to run the State Department; he has dismissed hundreds, perhaps thousands, of seasoned professionals within the various departments and agencies of the federal government; while lining up a ragtag band of sycophants, thugs, and ne’re-do-well relatives to advise him on matters about which they know almost nothing. He has proposed the most insanely vile tax scam legislation that would take from the poor and give to the rich while it increased the debt by $1.5 trillion; it also would repeal the inheritance tax that would lock in and pass on personal wealth in perpetuity for his untalented family members as well as for all the multi-millionaires and billionaires in the land. He is working to take health care away from millions of poor residents; he wants to subvert and defund Medicare and Social Security for our retirees; while he systematically reduces the safety-net programs for the poor that he is making poorer. And now he is skirting the law by putting someone in charge of the Consumer Protection Agency who is not in their line of succession and who advocates reducing this agency to rubble.

WTF is going on? Do we have collective amnesia about the financial collapse of 2008-2010 that nearly put us into bankruptcy as a nation? Wasn’t anyone listening when tens of thousands of us shouted our warnings about this “genitalia grabber?” Is anyone listening now? Must we now appeal to Providence, to all the guardian angels throughout the universe, to every sensible human being on this planet in general, and to the American population in particular to heave a mighty shrug, cast off this nightmare, and reverse the elections of 2016 as an aberration never to be repeated, and come to our collective senses before it is too late?

I am not going to “go gentle into that good night.” Not me. I am going to “rage, rage against the dying of the light.” There is a day of reckoning coming. It will be worse than 2008 when the faulty AAA-rated credit swaps fell, linked to packaged CMOs, pushed by greedy bankers, based on worthless government guarantees of subprime mortgages. When just a few of those dominos fell, the whole structure quickly came crashing down and the entire world suffered severely from it. And did I mention, Trump is now restoring all those weak unsupervised links back into his mindless scheme that he proclaims will “Make America Great Again?”

That 2008 crash was nothing compared to what our current posture and path portend. Now we have a stupid Pied Piper leading his lemmings. But this time nobody is carrying dominos. This time they are carrying their bodies and souls, their integrity and their fake goods, their hearts and their minds all linked to the nuclear codes resting in the satchel by the side of their demented leader. They are putting them and us at risk in the hands of a liar, a cheat, a swindler, a fat-assed clown, and a bellicose blithering idiot. And he is screaming at a chubby North Korean leader who doesn’t give a shit about anything.

Do you think that Donald Trump or Kim Jong-un understand the concept known as “mutually assured destruction” (MAD), or how a feeble “miscalculation” could launch a thousand nuclear explosions on the world?

The rest of world is watching us. At first, they were mocking us. They questioned the validity of the IQ curve, suggesting that America had forsaken logic and thoughtfulness, and we had all taken residence in the lower half of that curve. Now, much like us, they are beginning to acquiesce to that same insanity. They are beginning to act like us. Have our brains all become afflicted by the “extinction syndrome?”

Donald Trump has often stated that he is a “problem solver.” His proof lies mainly in his ability to fire those he suspects are disloyal to his idiocy; or to stiff his workers their pay for doing honest work; or to load up his failing businesses with the debts and bad paper from his other businesses and then declare bankruptcy on the business he has ravaged. He has done that six times that we know about. He then took a $950 million tax write-off to be applied to his other businesses for the next 18 years. He obviously does not believe in paying his taxes. He wants others, mainly the poor, to pay his share.

The universe has many imbalances and a few megalomaniacs.  Both are often self-correcting.  And there is much wisdom in the observation “this, too, shall pass.” Debris, planets, stars, even galaxies are consumed and transformed according to the laws of nature and physics many of which we do not understand. Astro-physicists can calculate with astonishing accuracy that planet Earth and our Milky Way galaxy are doomed to destruction and transformation at a future date some 4 or 5 billion years ahead.

But what do we know about the fate of our clear and present danger masquerading as one of us? Does he not pose a greater threat to us than the fate our universe has in store for us far out into the space/time continuum?

Donald Trump is our problem, and we are the problem-solvers. Let’s push him beyond the Event Horizon of our galaxy’s black hole.
