I wonder if Donald Trump has ever read the words inscribed at the base of the Statue of Liberty, one of our most treasured national monuments. Does he not know that—except for our Native Americans—we are a nation of immigrants; that we are a “melting pot” of many races, nationalities, and ethnicities; and that his threats against the 7,000 Hondurans and Guatemalans now trekking toward our borders stand in stark opposition to our Constitution? Perhaps someone could read him just the Preamble: Our forebears challenged us to “form a more perfect union,” not a lesser one; that our driving objective is justice, not tyranny; and that we seek freedom for ourselves and our posterity, not to thwart those seeking freedom with insults and perhaps bayonets before putting their children into captivity.

We have made allowances for his ignorance, his insults, his lies, and his disrespect for honor and patriotism. He has sucked up at least 10,000 times his share of our national wealth; he has used and abused our tax laws to avoid paying taxes; he has fired honorable men and women in favor of puppets and sycophants to carry out his agenda of plundering working America so that he can send more and more of our wealth to his super rich cohorts. He has coddled, colluded and conspired with tyrants to rig and poison our elections.

Just a few days ago he had the audacity to tell the General Assembly of the United Nations that his administration has done more for America than any other in our history. As his message was being translated into many different languages, the attendees quickly understood that he is a senseless nincompoop. They broke into laughter as the best instantaneous response to such an outrageous comment. As usual, he didn’t ”get” it.

How much more can we take of this person without a conscience, with no moral bearing, who is obsessed with taking and taking as if this great country was his personal playground to suck up and spit out as he chooses.  What a disgrace!

First, we must oppose all who support him. Vote early or on election day, and encourage all in your circle of sane and caring friends to do the same. With a majority in the House, they can impeach him.
