Ethos is an ethical appeal. It means to convince an audience of the author's credibility or character. Pathos is an emotional appeal. It means to persuade an audience by appealing to their emotions. ... Logos is the appeal to logic. It means to convince an audience with acts and reason.
A Star is Born
On Tuesday, February 11, 2020 a modest lady from Minnesota emerged from the long list of Democratic candidates for President of the United States with eloquence, style, and purpose. Her name is Amy Klobuchar.
Relying on an inner strength she spoke to us and to the world with a respect for her audience that was long overdue. Students of rhetoric will remember her effectiveness if not her words. She taught us how to draw upon ethos, pathos, and logos in showing us that we are better than the thoughts, the actions, and the gutter language that emanates from the current resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Her words rang out with purity, with a reach that was beyond those in attendance. Calling upon the better angels within us, she spoke to our values, to our hearts, and to our minds with conviction and with honor. How refreshing.
Residents of New Hampshire listened and voted. She placed a close third in the vote count, right after Bernie Sanders and Pete Buttigieg. For those who have longed for someone with class to emerge, your prayers have been answered. For those who have waited for honesty to carry the day, wait no longer. And for those who have longed for the day when a woman would come forward and take center stage in her quest for the highest office in the land, that lady has arrived.

I will certainly vote in the main election and will probably go with the most likely to beat Donald Trump candidate. In spite of the country moving along quite nicely with him at the helm, I'm afraid of some drastic action that will upset the apple cart and we need somebody more stable, kind and generous in that job spokesperson for our great country before the world.
