With just 14 days to go, Joe Biden is holding a steady lead over Donald Trump to become the next president of the United States. The Democrats are also favored to bring both houses of Congress under their control. With nearly 40 million votes already in—and rising by about 6 million votes daily—the hope of an October surprise for camp Trump is losing its potential impact.
In Thursday night’s last scheduled debate between the candidates, the other microphone will be turned off while the speaking candidate makes his opening comments. After that it is expected to be another free-for-all shouting match. Trump has promised to behave, but...for 90 minutes? We’ll see.
On a different issue, Mitch McConnell has promised an Oct 29 vote on the nomination of Amy Coney Barrett for a seat on the Supreme Court. She is expected to be confirmed on a party-line vote. This soft-spoken lady will make the third appointment to our highest court by Donald Trump, thus giving the conservatives a 6 to 3 majority on the court and the prospect for dominating the political climate in the U.S. for many years into the future.

The Supreme Court is now NOT SUPREME. All extreme (far left and far right) justices should be replaced with middle of the road members, so that all decisions can be made on merits of the case and not pre-existing biases (religious,racial, gender or otherwise). Also there should be term limits e.g. 9 years, with a replacement every year.
