Everyone should be aware of the fact that the Right-wing of the Republican Party is currently very active in all of the Republican-controlled states. They have introduced more than 250 new laws that would restrict, limit, and otherwise make voting very difficult for minorities and immigrants—those who are most likely to vote for Democratic candidates. Georgia is a case in point. The filth mongers just passed a new law that, among other insults, makes it a crime to give a drink of water to those waiting in line for hours and hours.to vote. Imagine that! Dehydrate them into submission! These are the same states that the Republicans have already gerrymandered and put minorities, immigrants and other Democrats into crowded districts—overloaded there to minimize their results on an electoral basis, thus giving the sparsely-populated districts with more Republicans another dishonest advantage.

Why is this issue important? Apart from being an affront to our sensibilities and to our democracy where the one-person, one-vote rule is supposed to be the law of the land (Reynolds v Sims), it stinks on many other levels.

It is also cheating, un-American, un-Christian, un-Jewish, and against virtually every moral code ever conceived, while it violates the long-established principle of honesty supported by fair-minded people everywhere. It follows that those who support the Right-wing efforts are, ipso facto, complicit in this immoral practice and are therefore part of this decadent behavior.

It also means that extremism is descending into a morass in the US—while its efforts masquerade as just another set of laws in a “nation of laws” where the law must be obeyed. That is so much legal-babble, aka equine scatology (look it up). Consider also the last general election in which the Republican candidate for President lost by more than 7 million votes. He relied on the dishonest Electoral System in which the one-person, one vote rule could be reversed by the biased electoral conversion kit. And all they had to do was to concentrate on just the states where the electoral vote was close. Speaking for those of us who are able to reason above the kindergarten level--it is an abomination conceived in racism, and dedicated to the proposition that white supremacy is the illicit imperative that has the stamp of so-called “American Greatness,” by order of the White Supremacist-in-Chief, Donald Trump. He lost all 62 appeals in his false belief that he could not lose any election that was rigged to the rafters in his favor. In his demented reasoning, “Let us therefore flip the tables in those states, and accuse the Democrats of rigging it in their favor.” It’s the old Nazi propaganda rule of telling a lie, and then repeating it again and again until your followers—are in the mood to incite a riot.

Let’s now carry the preceding narrative to its logical conclusion via the process known as reductio ad adsurdum: According to the Right-wing doctrine: They’ve rigged and rigged, cheated and cheated, lied and lied, and conned their followers into paying for 62 court appeals, and lost them all—but they got way with it without penalty, including two impeachments. Now let’s go for the Big Prize: Let’s overthrow the government.

At the core of this ideology, there is this implicit premise: American society can be divided into two groups: The upper and the lower half of the intelligence curve. Right-wing conservatives must appeal to the lower one-half. Those in the upper half are too smart and too honest to be conned. But if they can brain-wash all the knuckle-dragging lemmings to follow them—why not do it? It’s pathetic, but what other explanation can account for such offensive behaviors? Especially when it is funded by enough billionaires who believe that when money talks, bovine scatology walks.

This fight is far from being over. When Big Money talks and stirs the cauldrons of deceit, it poisons the airwaves, the landscape, and the Twitter accounts, until it crushes democracy into submission. But only if we let it.

We now have good evidence that about 43 percent of our population can be manipulated according to the Right-wing doctrine. By hook and by crook that minority can be transformed into about a 47 electoral minority. It’s time to stop the scatology, throw this cesspool of lies, propaganda, and filth into a black hole never again to rear its ugly head. We need the honesty and the integrity of a plain and simple vote of the people to decide our elections—all of them.
