We need to stop pretending as if 2024 is just another election year like all the others we have seen. It isn’t. It is the most consequential year of our lifetimes. This November we will either accept a communist-like government across our nation, or we will reject it in favor of democracy. Other implied issues for us are: Will we choose to live under the canopy of slavery, victims to a half-wit, with neither principles, nor virtue, nor substance in his soul? Will we stand with the most successful President in history and with our 31 NATO nations, or will we elect the same unprincipled nitwit who cozies up to the dictators of Russia, China, North Korea, and Hungary for advice and for love affairs? Our choice is that clear, it is that somber, and it is that real. We need to carry the fight to the totalitarian regime of a rapist, liar, cheat, and thief, who is under charges for 91 separate counts of criminal activity—including leading an insurrection against the same government that he loves to hate. Our will to fight is on display, while our forebears and our better angels are watching.

Logic, achievements, fair play, results and freedom seem to not matter any longer to 40+ percent of US residents. Do we need to spray their brains with the Clorox solution that our former president wanted to use to spray into the lungs of those infected by the Covid virus? A mere 100,000 US residents died on his watch while this genius cogitated on the efficacy of his Clorox solution.

What does this corrupt individual have to offer the four dictator heads of state? Only our Top Secret nuclear documents. Why would he sell us out? For money. He may already have done so. Our former leader had Top Secret documents in his possession for more than one year after he left office. How long does it take to xerox a few hundred documents and fax them to Russia, China, North Korea, and Hungary? This is hardly a far-fetched subject for inquiry. During the period 1930 to the mid 1950s communists were active throughout the US in their attempts to win over the minds of US residents to their cause. They are still active today but their methods are considerably better hidden.

In contrast, our President today is staunchly anti-communist and pro-democracy. He has helped create 15 million new jobs, reached record highs of new wealth, brought unemployment down to record lows; is fixing our highways, our railways, airports, seaports, bridges; he lead the fight to defeat of Covid 19; brought higher education within reach of millions of students; sent checks out to every adult in the land to help get us through the virus period, and preserved our most needed retirement programs. The list goes on for one of the best presidential achievement records and economies in our history.

As the election season heats up, we need to reflect on the meaning of freedom, and what we are prepared to do to defend it. This time our votes will reveal the measure of our resolve. The threat to our democracy is that real, and it does not fall entirely upon the shoulders of our men and women in uniform and our other first responders to defend. This time it’s about us—all of us. It’s more than our resolve, more than our patriotism, and more than our guiding principles. We must fight with every ounce of strength we can find to keep our democracy, our freedom, and our way of life.

Our choice is as clear as day and night. One candidate wants a dictatorship starting from day one. He wants total immunity from all his criminal activity. He wants to pull out of NATO, while he abandons Europe to the will of his communist pal, Vladimir Putin. He wants loyalty pledges to him from all government employees. He does not honor or respect our Constitution. He would burn it. He wants others to pay all his bills. He loves cowardice. He believes our national cemeteries are filled with “suckers.” He wants to enrich himself and his family members at our expense. He grabs and takes wantonly as if this land is his land—paid for with stolen dollars he has taken from us. Vote him out. Then put him in jail.
