This article has to do with a personal experience and replying to online personals on the internet.

I want to share this personal experience with everyone out there. So, they don't respond to any online personals.

First of all I usually do not respond to too many online personals when I place my personal on one of the online personal sites.

I am very conventional young woman, and I just decided to try it to see what would transpire if I did have any one looking for someone who accept me as I am and Love Me For Who I Am as well.

Next I, openly admit that if you place a photo on your personal ad you will most likely get more responses.

In the beginning, I had no way to post my photo, but later on I upgraded to a MSN TV plus system and with MSN TV Plus you can use a HP-Escanner and scan pictures in to websites.

This I did, and I got several responses from over at http://DreamMates.Com and http://yahoopersonals.

This is my personal experience with the man I met over at Yahoo.

He was persistent to get to know me. He knew I lived in the city of Chicago. Yet he stil persistently emailed me via Yahoo and asked me why I was not responding to his email.

So I decided to be nice and respond.

This young man lives only 19 miles away from me and at this time I was about to lose my dear friend, in which case I did on December 3, 2002.

We exchanged email and he asked me for my telephone number and he called me.

He pressed to meet me and so on December 27, we met against my better judgement.

We saw each other three times and then he decided he did not like Chicago,i,e, the city of Chicago and all.

This relationship lasted three months and mostly consisted of phone calls, three visits, and he told me he loved me but he just did not like the city in which I lived in.

A good friend of mine tried to explain to him that he was coming to be with me and not to visit Chicago.

He promised both my friend, Jenn and me, he would be there for me 24/7. However, that was not so either.

Some pointers on online dating Ladies and Gentlemen, (if there is such a person still out there).

1. Specify that you live in a major city and if that is a problem with the person who is looking at your ad, and does not like the city in which you live in. Don't reply to your personal.

This will void heart break later on.

2. Specify that you are willing to travel to meet the other person, if it may be your last chance of achieving any happiness and love in your life.

All good relationships consist of communications between the parties, compromise between the parties, and understanding that the parties must reach each other half way.

In the beginning of our e-mailing each other the man asked me where I lived in Chicago and I told him. He said he knew the area in which I lived in.

He further asked me if I could drive. I told him due to the nature of my disability I was unable to drive but I am quite familar to the Mass Transit in Chicago which consists using CTA, which is the buses in Chicago, The RTA, which is the buses in the suburbs, and Metra Trains, which runs from Chicago into other outlining suburbs.

I, also told this man I could come to him if he did not want to come to me. It would be no problem.

He was very persistent he did not mind coming in to Chicago to be with me and picking me up.

Well as the case may be, he did mind and so therefore, he broke it off with me leaving me very crushed and heart broken.

The aftermath of this is: I will never trust another man as long as I live and I will never give another man who lives in the suburbs a try because my experince with the men in the Chicagoland Suburbs is this: They are not willing to compromise and all.

They need to look for compatible, attractive women in their own neck of the woods.

If you do decide to give on line personals and dating a try, please be careful.

Be selective in which ads you respond too.

Standing On My Knees by Pinkstone
