Manorbier Castle and the surprise that greeted me!
My husband and I spent September 2014 touring the UK visiting the settings of my book Young Knights of the Round Table: The King's Ransom and other Arthurian sites. I do want to share my fabulous trip with you, but I promise not to bore you with my vacation pictures!
Learning that I would be in Wales, the staff at Manorbier Castle—one of the settings of Young Knights of the Round Table: The King's Ransom—invited me to stop by for an author visit. To say I was ecstatic would be putting it mildly! This is what greeted me as I entered castle grounds:
Touring the castle where young Prince Gavin's quest takes him filled me with awe. Granted it wasn't exactly the same castle—mine was a wooden castle—but it was close enough for me!
I even found the Smuggler's Passage that was eventually cut from my story.
I so enjoyed getting a look at the land of Arthurian Legend.
