For a thorough cultural grasp of Nigeria, welcome to the “Big Heart”- Delta State, a land of a thousand dances. Delta state is one of the thirty six (36) States that make up the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Deltans, as true Africans, are naturally friendly and hospitable. DAY TWO
From Hotel to domestic airport
Pool charter flight from Lagos to Osubi (Delta state)
Osubi to the Turf, Abraka. The Turf is located in the quiet University town of Abraka on the bank of the famous River Ethiope. Attractions include: Nature Trail, Swimming, Boating, Horse Riding, Scenic African Beauty, Urhobo cultural dance.
DAY THREE
From Abraka town to Umuaja Town
Tour of Umuaja shrine and source of river Ethiope. Attractions include: walking in the cool spring water of river Ethiope, ukwani Traditional Dance.
From Umuaja town to Idumuje-Ugboko
Tour of the royal palace: - The palace of the obi (traditional Ruler) was built over one hundred and fifty years ago. Only laterite and traditional construction technique were used in its construction.
Tour of Demas Nwoko place: - This spectacular building is a product of the traditional designs of the Ibo and Benin ancient civilization. As a bridge between ancient and the modern, this building is already famous worldwide.
From Idumuje - Ugboko to Onicha -Olona
DAY FOUR
Tour of Olona Ranch and Holiday Resort. Attractions include: - Fishing, swimming, highlight of the tour is the cultural display of Okpanam Wonder Dance
From Onicha - Olona to Asaba
DAY FIVE
Tour to Asaba city
Visit to the Lander Brothers Anchorage. The Lander Brother (Richard and John) were earlier British explorers whose activities along the river Niger were felt in the 1830s
A tour trek along the famous Niger Bridge. More than 3 million people use the bridge daily
Shopping at Onisha market, the largest in the sub-continent.
Cultural/gala night at the grand convention center and resort, the newest and most luxurious resort in Nigeria, offering a true taste of paradise on the Niger.
DAY SIX
Asaba to Koko
Tour of Nana’s palace (National Living History Museum). Nana - a powerful warrior and administrator was governor of the Benin River under her imperial majesty, Queen Victoria of England. The Museum houses his personal effects and reflects his enlightened contract with the west.
