Political satire - revolutionary propaganda, etc.

I’ve decided that what we really need is a HAPPY REVOLUTION! The first step would be to set out a survey. WHAT ARE THE TOP 10 THINGS THAT DO (OR WOULD) MAKE YOU HAPPY? We would need to prioritize, after all. Once we, as Americans, (possibly including a fair amount of immigrants, both passenger and stowaway), decided that this was the best way to re-define ourselves, true change would be in the making. The status quo would be ripped asunder. When it comes down to it, it is all about the law of averages, our perception of democracy, and THE BIG PICTURE!.

This revolution shouldn’t take too long if we use OUR OWN government’s super secret internal spying computers. Dedicating them to giving us the BIG PICTURE is our goal, after all, isn’t it?! The big picture, is, of course, a real sense, (at least for the time period of the survey), of what we, as a social entity within known borders, THINK, BELIEVE, and HOPE are the building blocks of a happy people and a stable nation. And it would far surpass the pretentious blue and red voting blocks put out there by our current political pundits. (If this is not an insult to our collective intelligence, I don’t know what is!).

This revolution would shake the world! It would be a showdown somewhere between a state of spiritualistic altruism and, in all likelihood, a well polished sense of social narcissism. YET THIS WOULD BE THE GOAL OF SUCH A DYNAMIC SOCIAL EXPERIMENT! WE MUST DEFINE OURSELVES!

You may say, “What a simple solution, why didn’t I think of that?” I’m here to tell you, it’s not quite that simple. In this day and age, everything is a great, ongoing, time wasting debate. Back and forth it goes, with the spin being put on by the greatest enslaving mechanism the world has ever known, “THE MEDIA”! And, of course, we all know, the media is controlled by the few, the rich, and the politically powerful.

It would be absolutely ESSENTIAL that this questionnaire ONLY be given AFTER
a 6 WEEK TOTAL MEDIA BLACKOUT! This is CRITICAL! Although this would probably cause the collapse of society AS WE KNOW IT, the lack of these man-made distractions would allow the brain to truly process the thinking/meditating/praying that would be necessary for this crucial matter. At the very least, the front edge of the multi-media programming system would be dulled and FREE WILL would certainly be more attainable.

This state of media suspension can be achieved, and should be achieved by ANY MEANS POSSIBLE! At the end of the six weeks, or however long it takes to gain control of all media outlets and content, the government’s super-computers should be ready and waiting. After the power is turned back on, we could easily text our top ten happiness conditions, (HOMELAND SECURITY is setting up to monitor all phone and Internet communications, anyway), and all answers would be recorded, specific to the individual submitting them.

It is my belief that these super thinking machines could socially organize blocks of persons with similar perspectives, like an on-line dating matchup. Comments like, “It would make me happy if I could live somewhere warm so I don’t freeze my ass off in the winter months because of the high cost of heating fuels…” would possibly be linked to someone who says, “I love Texas!” Similarly someone who says” It would make me happy if the rich would stay rich,” might be associated with someone who says, “ I love my Lexis!”… and so forth.

If the use of this information could be directly controlled by the masses, the next logical step would be to work toward getting or keeping the things that bring us the most happiness. Depending on the numbers of people who may want the same or similar things, new intra-national regions or territories could be designated. We could even call them states if we wanted to do so.

Ultimately, legal standards, property rights, (or the banishment of such rights), commerce-oriented practices, and scientific/moralistic agreements would be reintroduced into each cluster of like-minded thinkers and dreamers. For those in a region who declared that they would be happy if healthcare, education, and other relevant commodities were socialized, the people re-located to those regions would be allowed to do so. For those who wished to live in the security of a fortress with all of their personal monies and possessions, likewise, they would be given land and the permission to build. However, there may not be a surplus of manual laborers living in their regions, which would require some real negotiating on down the road.

Unfortunately, some amount of fighting over prime real estate and indigenous natural resources would probably ensue. But, if you stop and think about it, following 6 weeks without any commerce or politically oriented commercialism IN ANY FORM coming from the mainstream media, people will likely feel insecure and react by jumping directly into their favorite religious sect, social club, militia, or other groups/setting in which they actually feel they would flourish.

And if this HAPPY REVOLUTION were well thought out, there could even be regions where no one agrees on anything. Within these wild, wild, west types of neighborhoods, citizens could and probably would go berserk and kill themselves or others in the mêlée. A heavy-handed military-police force could be thrown in just to give those guys and gals an out.

From that point on, in any sector, people’s motivations would be much more positive. People would once again feel good about themselves and their choices in life. And most importantly, we would have a far greater understanding of who we are as a nation. We might even be HAPPY!

BE HAPPY! VIVA La REVOLUTION!

Michael, you are so true! I do believe that relocation and revolution is the answer. And cutting off our media for six weeks would certainly turn our minds from mush to lush. There is one fly in the ointment though. Bringing back Tupper parties would probably be the end of the world. Viva la Revolution!
