Sharing a thought about what our last President Obama ment to me
Listen to your Heart
I never saw myself as any different then I was. I never thought of myself as someone different then all those that seemed to paint a different picture then what my heart told me. It is sad to believe I was wrong in all I wondered about all I believe in. the basic hope and understanding that no matter what I did in this life I could succeed in my hope and dream. Where did I fail, where did the hope note real? A chocolate cake I remember my mother making me eat when I pulled a piece from it, I remember her standing over me forcing me to eat every piece as much as I could with my face covered in chocolate. Martin Luther king’s picture I stared. On the radio played is anybody seen my old friend Johnny. The Peter Paul and Mary song about the dream of death of three great leaders that shaped all we have ever understood as a human right truth. I never understood. Where do we go from, no one will understand my trepidation, my troubling confusion of what my life has seen because none of this matter to them. But I can see in to the past that chocolate cake that morning, making churning ice cream, that painful fall from my bike, and seeing more than I will ever understand. I see as an adult as an observer of life passing me by, a sadness I cannot put my hand on but a sadness that I give thanks to. A man, least understood his family so different than all I dreamed of, as being my President, my President thank you, and now I begin again the chocolate cake on my face, and the song playing in the back ground, “Has anyone seen my old friend Johnny can you tell me where his gone” can you tell me where his gone” God Bless the United States of American and thank you Mr. Obama Thank Mr. President thank you

Someday children of today disciplined by their parents will grow to be old and in their old age have fond remembrance of the time when that great change happened and a black man first held the highest office in the land with grace and dignity as a president should.
Ditto Thank you, Mr. President. Thank you Barack Obama. Job well done.
