An opinion piece on the deterioration of the presidency.

I am ashamed. Ashamed how the United States is turning into a hate filled country, ashamed of millions of my fellow Americans filled with greed, intolerance, and a love for a fascist pretending to be our president while he amasses a huge amount of personal wealth. At the same time the rate of poverty in the United States escalates. Trumps love affair with dictators is truly frightening. His actions speak of a future filled with violence, the loss of freedoms and the continued attacked of the trump administration upon the vulnerable populations of America and the world. It is a shameful time; it is a time for action. Trump has to realize that dictators seldom come to a good end. Should he ever pick up a history book he will know that to continue on his present course will end badly. Many of his administration have already become incarcerated; a large majority of Americans now support impeachment. Trump is now acknowledged as the worst president in history. He needs to cut his losses and leave office. I frankly don’t care how he does so but he has no right to stay in the White House. He is am embarrassment to this nation and to the people who live here. Rather than receiving the Noble Prize he should be prosecuted for fraud, malfeasance in office, corruption and human rights violations. His obvious use of the office of the president to acquire wealth while destroying the very fabric of America is criminal. I knew a trump presidency would be bad but I failed to understand just how bad—his illegal actions and failures are compounded daily and with delight. Trump was never a “negotiator” but simply a bully. He bullied his way through any opposition, sues at the drop of a hat and has no ability to actually negotiate any deal. As a president Trump is a total failure—as he is as a human being. Please don’t let this continue. Don’t lend your hand to corruption and fascism. Resist in any way you can. Vote! Stand up and voice your concerns, fears and desires for an America that will once again resound with hope, freedom and compassion for one another.
