I am sharing a November 17, 2002 Sunday School Lesson. Surely, I do realize that it is February, 2008. Ezekiel 18:1-4, 20,21, 25-32 A proverb is a parable. Ezekiel 18:1-4, 20, 21, 25-32 Verse 1 - THE word of the LORD came unto me, saying Verses 2,3,20 - Works of God, God's Providence in Moral Discipline, Others' Sins Not to be Suffered For What mean ye, .... that ye use this proverb concerning the land of Israel, saying, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge? As I live, saith the LORD GOD, ... ye shall not have occassion any more to use this proverb in Israel. Read Verse 20 in your spare time. Verse 4 - Works of God, God's Providence Among Men, Generally; God the Absolute Owner of Man Behold, all souls are mine; (In your spare time you may read the entire Verse which is Verse 4) Verse 21 - Man Redeemed, REPENTANCE, Encouragement to Repentance, Promises to the Penitent But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, (Read the complete verse which is Verse 21 in your spare time) Ezekiel 18:25-32 Verses 25,26 - Man Redeemed, Duties and Graces of the New Life, Apostasy (desertion of principles or faith) Yet ye say, The way of the LORD is not equal. Hear .... now, O house of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal? When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committed iniquity, (Read the complete verse in your spare time which is Verse 26) Hear - listen Verse 30 - Man Redeemed, REPENTANCE, Repentance a Duty Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord God. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin. Verses 27,28 - Man Redeemed, REPENTANCE, Encouragement to Repentance, Promises to the Penitent Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and (Read the complete verse in your sapre time which is Verse 27) Because he considered, and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath committed, (Read the complete verse in your spare time which is Verse 28) Verse 29 - GOD, Attributes of God as Person, Justice Yet saith the house of Israel, The way of the Lord is not equal. O house of Israel, are not my ways equal? are not your ways unequal?
