In recent days, so much had been said and written about the Prophet Muhammad, peace by upon him. People who know him are saying things and those who don’t know him are also saying things. But one thing that truly emerges from all of this is the time and energy devoted to this shinning Star.
And it isn’t just the Muslims that are sending salutations on his name, the whole world is screaming for his light. Even those who claim to be his enemies are likewise shouting his name from the rooftops.
As we speak there isn’t a household that owns a TV that hasn’t heard of the Prophet Muhammad. Wounded as the believers must feel from all the ill-intended Media attention, there should be a clear message in this for those who believe in the sacredness of this great personality. The Almighty is sending them a message. And the message is bell clear: Our world is in dire need of this wonderful light. And it's up to those of knowledge to shine this light upon the hearts and minds of all people.
Muhammad is not just for one segment of the world population. He is a mercy for the whole world.

Really don't know where to start...Checked the first page of the link, you are right it talks about rules governing war.
But that has nothing to do with how the message given to Muhammad, peace be upon him, started out.
So perhaps if you gave yourself the time to go to the next topic you will find what you are looking for.

Instead of quotations from the prophet, what I read were prescriptions for behavior (very restrictive behavior) that seems to be the hallmark of religions. While my understanding of the history of the Muslim people is one of conflict and war, as well as the Christian religion and many others, I expected to see less discussion of war and more benign pronouncements. Instead, every paragraph seem to be designed to instruct people on how to or not to conduct war, behave, enslave, etc. Like all religions, there seems to be much hypocrisy with people not behaving like their great leader preached, but somehow behaving in his name.
Once again, I'm sorry. But I much prefer philosophy that frees the mind rather than religion that restricts it to what some man supposedly said or did.
