Being creative is a gift. You don’t go to Creative School and pass a test and graduate “creative” but you can hone your skills.
Writers write: poems, stories, articles, songs, jingles, books, blogs, comics, advertising, greeting cards… and the list goes on.
Every creative person has their own specialty, a skill that comes naturally to them, something they are just good at, a mental process that locks them “in-tune” with their creative abilities. Some zone out and perform their creative activities in an almost automatic state of unconsciousness and it just flows out. Others are overwhelmed with ideas and start the process but their creative efforts rely on the editing and the uncounted efforts of tweaking the experience and cleaning it up until it hits perfection in their mind. Then there are others who have amazing thoughts but they fall off of the to-do list and never see the light of day…. how sad.
More often than not, a person’s creative specialty is isolated in one specific area. Crossing over into other areas of creativity is challenging and the outcomes can be pleasantly unexpected. Writers who paint, painters who sing, musicians who excel at creative hobbies and artisans who create objects in multiple disciplines are examples of creative people who branch out and feel compelled to try something new.
I started writing job processes for businesses and I got the bug to write a book, then a 2nd book, then I jumped to poems, and I just launched my Game App "PairAnnoyYa" for iPad, iPhone, and Android phones.
The creative process for me is often unconscious-automatic… I get so busy getting down the ideas that time passes without the feeling of time and when I go back and read what I wrote down, I am often amazed of what came out of me.
For the past 18 months I have thrown myself into game apps: what makes them fun, what makes them annoying, why are some addicting, what percentage of luck Vs. skill makes a great game, what type of proficiencies do they teach, do they stimulate my thinking and my reasoning and my logic?
It has been a great exercise in creativity on so many different fronts.

keep the creative juices flowing!! best of luck with the launch and more to come
I have always been a jack of all trades so I have found it quite difficult to master any of them. However, as I look back on my life, I was always creating new things and often ahead of the curve in a way that made my ideas unacceptable unless I had gone into business with them--and I didn't. I would follow you into app development like I got into database development, but my physical limitations make even playing these games (with any time limit) extremely difficult and frustrating.
