I was quite surprised when I realized that it seemed that women writers tended to describe much better -- realistically - sex scenes than male writers.  Of course, this was no scientific research.

The overall topic was the coming out process in gays.  Most of the male authors spent more time dealing with the relationship and general social aspects of the process.  Though the female writers did the same, there was much more emphasis on the sexual-erotic aspects, while being very explicit.

It is said that women tend to go into details and are more observant, while men tend towards just feeling.  

I have no idea what is the answer to my curiosity.

¿Las Mujeres Escriben Erotica Mejor?

Tuve que hacer algo de investigación para escribir una escena erótica para uno de mis libros.  Esto me llevò a leer algunos libros del gènero eròtico gay/lésbico.

Me sorprendí cuando me dí cuenta que parecía que las escritoras tendían a describir mucho mejor -- màs realìsticamente - escenas sexuales que sus contrapartes masculinos.  Por cierto, no estaba haciendo una investigación científica.

El tema general era el proceso de "salir del closet" de los gays.  La mayoría de los escritores varones se dedicaron a describir más sobre las relaciones y los aspectos sociales del proceso.  Aunque las damas hicieron lo mismo, pusieron mucho màs ènfasis en los aspectos sexuales-eróticos -- expícitamente.

Dicen que las mujeres tienden a ser màs detallistas y màs observadores, mientras que los varones tendemos a simplemente sentir.

No tengo idea de cuàl ser la respuesta correcta a mi curiosidad.
