It was a mistake," you said. But the cruel thing was, it felt like the mistake was mine, for trusting you. To be trusted is a greater compliment than being loved. Friendship- my definition- is built on two things. Respect and trust. Both elements have to be there. And it has to be mutual. You can have respect for someone, but if you don't have trust, the friendship will crumble. We are all mistaken sometimes; sometimes we do wrong things, things that have bad consequences. But it does not mean we are evil, or that we cannot be trusted ever afterward.
Relationships are mysterious. We doubt the positive qualities in others, seldom the negative. You will say to your partner: do you really love me? Are you sure you love me? You will ask this a dozen times and drive the person nuts. But you never ask: are you really mad at me? Are you sure you’re angry? When someone is angry, you don’t doubt it for a moment. Yet the reverse should be true . We should doubt the negative in life, and have faith in the positive.
According to Vedanta, there are only two symptoms of enlightenment, just two indications that a transformation is taking place within you toward a higher consciousness. The first symptom is that you stop worrying. Things don't bother you anymore. You become light-hearted and full of joy. The second symptom is that you encounter more and more meaningful coincidences in your life, more and more synchronicities. And this accelerates to the point where you actually experience the miraculous. Trust starts with truth and ends with truth. The inability to open up to hope is what blocks trust, and blocked trust is the reason for blighted dreams.
He who knows how to flatter also knows how to slander. Forgiveness must be immediate, whether or not a person asks for it, you do not have to say anything to that person just behave normally... Trust must be rebuilt over time. Trust requires a track record. Peace and trust take years to build and seconds to shatter. There are all kinds of ways for a relationship to be tested, even broken, some, irrevocably; it’s the endings we’re unprepared for.
Our bodies have five senses: touch, smell, taste, sight, and hearing. But not to be overlooked are the senses of our souls: intuition, peace, foresight, trust, empathy. The differences between people lie in their use of these senses; most people don't know anything about the inner senses while a few people like me rely on them just as they rely on their physical senses, and in fact probably even more. The Joys, Sorrows, Anger and the Lust are all controlled by the development of the inner senses one can instantly through ESP know how to act at the right time.
Responsibility and Trust -- these two are like Yin and Yang, together perfectly complete, and each one requiring the presence of the other. The next time you mistrust someone, consider this -- does that person feel responsible for you in any way? If the answer is yes, then go ahead and trust them. Very likely, they are looking out for your best interest.
Trust is a fragile word for mortals, and passion a brilliant stone to crack it on. But love, true love, is the velvet glove that catches fragile trust before it's gone.
You lie once.. You lie for the rest of your life... and in quest of proving your innocence.. You pledge your honesty with utter lies....!!! Do not deceive your inner feelings and live life to the full without a care in the world always thinking about the others first. You will see that you will have conquered the world and no awkward situations can erode your inner peace. There is always an answer for everything.
In this journey of life we came with nothing and will end with nothing. Does this mean that the life is worth nothing? I remember some poet saying: ‘When you came the whole world was laughing and you were crying make sure when you go the whole world is crying after you and you were smiling’. It starts with ‘When you breathed your first they were there for you make sure when your parents breathed their last you are there for them’ and then as Mahatma Gandhi said ‘Never give up on your chosen goals when you are distressed and looking for salvation think about those who are more unfortunate than you and you will get your answer you are not alone’.
