A poem inspired by a lover far from sight but near in heart.
Like a light mountain breeze you blow through my mind. A thought of you in your night gown toys with my sanity as I am split between being here and there. It is not refuge I seek but flames. Shades of red, orange, and yellow flicker and flare engulfing my tender flesh in heat, a passionate sweat. How luscious your lips, how deep your eyes. How bright your smile, how smooth your thighs. The nectar of your love I long to taste. Until that day arrives I will survive on memories that shall not waste.
Mary Angela Nangini's poems celebrate the richness of life and love. From the city to cottage-country and the roads in between, Nangini explores the changing seasons of her varied region. (This book will soon be reprinted in hard cover.)
This is a book of free verse poetry that addresses the seven main tests in life and offers some sensible solutions to passing those tests with minimal discomfort.
What's a poem doing in a section like this (Articles)? ;-)
