Science and Religion see things as they are

It is interesting to listen to discussions on evolution, pro and con. The discussion I heard recently says that four hundred million years ago, Man came from a fish.

Does that prove there is no God?

I don't know the events of 400,000,000 years ago, nor do I know Man's ancestry well enough to say that Mankind was or was not once a fish. However, there are evolutionary theories and evidences that would indicate that Man's ancestor was a fish, or amphibian, or some creature that lived in the sea. Regressing backward to the more simple lifeforms is reverse “evolution” which would ultimately bring us to the First Cause.

The First Cause? That is an unknown. Logic can only present a “First Cause” which religion will call GOD. A First Cause is an absolute and logical necessity.

A great many studies have been done regarding the origins of humanity. The physical body does seem to have come from animal sources. The plurality of gods and their deeds mentioned in a great many sacred writings from many different religions would indicate an altering of some the creature to bring about (create) the human being. These ‘gods’ are unknown, but have been written of. The Christian Bible as well as Hindu literature both support this idea.

Ancient writings are often considered to be legend material without sound basis for existence. However, those who were doing the writing had something to say and a reason to say it. The present understanding of these ancient writings is minimal and incomplete.

We know life existed on earth while it was still hot from birth. Two exceedingly hardy and simple bacteria have been discovered dating from this time. It is probable that the ‘gods’ referred to earlier had placed these living critters on this new planet in order to prepare the then inhospitable (for just about everything living) environment for future use.

After a long period of time passed, life seemingly exploded with fully developed creatures of all types. It is as if there had been a major effort at ‘seeding’ this planet with many different life forms. There is much evidence for this seeding. This is the creation of the gods that religion clings to.

Evolutionists hold to animals and plants changing and adapting to various living conditions which they may encounter. These changes do occur. There is overwhelming evidence for this.

Studies into these ideas can take many lifetimes and it is impossible to go into detail. Just realize that the gods of the creation of this world were and are living beings such as you and me. And, yes, I am sure they are still here somewhere.

Religion tells Mankind what happened. Science tells Mankind how it happened. They do not always agree; but when the time comes when true religion roams the earth, as well as true science, they will be the same -- they will work together, in perfect harmony.
