What does violence accompling?

What good does it do?

. . . Other than making people hurt?

What does it prove?

Nothing other that that somebody has a bigger club and is therefore “stronger”.

What is the value in violence?

None!

In the face of violence it is necessary to protect oneself, but violence by itself is nothing more than the effort of the ignorant and unenlightened to show their importance.

Importance is gained through productive effort – not ignorance. Anything that produces a good result is a productive effort – but a good result cannot be determined by ignorance or selfishness.

Since mankind tends toward self importance, some criteria beyond selfish man’s control is needed to be the standard of a good effort. Many manmade efforts toward this end have proven fruitless as man’s inherent selfishness, greed, and lust for power has always overridden the goals of the standard for good.

Religion is an example. Compare the teachings of the founder with today’s teachings of the clergy of that religion. They are not the same.

Government is another example. Power attracts the wrong type of person. As American, I am familiar with the US Constitution. It is easy to read and easy to understand. Does the US Government follow its own Constitution? Of course not!

Business? See Government. The workings are much the same and so are the results.

So the good parts of society tend to be eroded before the onslaught of selfishness, greed, power, and personal aggrandizements. If they are thwarted, violence is the usual result

Where does this leave us?

The answer can come only from an inner change within the mind and soul of mankind. And this seems unlikely.

Therefore violence wins.
