Reincarnation

No! I don’t wanna come back!

I did that far too many times already

I .don’t wanna do it again

“Why”? You say “Why”? ? ?
All I can say is that I have been there, done that far too many times, AND I DON’T WANT TO DO IT AGAIN!

Of course there were a lot of nice times and a lot of wonderful people, but that was later in life. It was those early years - - -

You wouldn’t know – you were not there

At first everything revolved around ME as if that is all there is. Eventually others came into my circle and I expanded to include them. It was a learning experience.

Then came the rough cruelty that continued for what seems like forever. Each time it was much the same.

You know, the tight, narrow, bigoted world where peer pressure is all pervasive. You gotta be like everyone else or you are taunted, jeered, humiliated, physically abused, rejected – all the wonderful world of teen-agers who know everything – just ask them. NO! I don’t wanna go through that hell again.

Certainly, I know and understand Buddhist and Hindu knowledge. I also understand Christian purgatory.

Of course they are the same.

Purgatory is the purging of what cannot enter Heaven. One must be squeaky clean. Some say this is to appease a wrathful God. This world experience is purgatory for the last time we were here, and failed to clean up our act.

Reincarnation is self-explanatory but tells the same story.

Yes. I know there are some who believe otherwise. That is their own free choice, but belief will not change reality.

Indeed I can sympathize with their loss even if it is only temporary.

All of this I know, so why is it necessary to go through all of that hell again? After teen-ager non-reality and the chaos of child rearing, life becomes calm and comfortable. So why go through all of that misery for a few years of wonder. I simply don’t wanna do it any more.

It is most difficult to realize that each chapter in my life has been thought to be the best there is – better than anything previous. But looking back to the beginning – I just don’t wanna do it again.

It will end? - - - When?

Oh! When I am ready. When will that be?

If it all depends on me, what more do I have to do in order to graduate from here?

Discovering all of that for myself can take a lot of time, and I don’t want to spend any more time running in circles – it makes me dizzy.

So if I improve myself I can get out of this prison?

Sheesh!

I don’t wanna stay here – I want out.

I want to go Home.

Future: The Spiritual Story of Humanity by Glenn Martin

Histories of the world are generally written to either celebrate technology and science, or to herald doom. My book examines the path of the spirit in the onward rush.
