There are so many books that describe people who had a wonderful experience after nearly dying. After their experience, they all say something such as, "I loved Heaven so much that I did not want to come back!"But what about atheists? Well, here is their warning about their experiences just before dying. It's a huge "Wake-up" call!

“FAMOUS LAST WORDS OF ATHESIT BEFORE DEATH:

1.     ANTON LEVEY—Author of the Satanic Bible and high priest of the religion dedicated to the worship of Satan. One of his famous quotes was: “There is a beast in man that needs to be exercised, not exorcised”. His dying words were: "Oh my, oh my, what have I done, there is something very wrong. . . there is something very wrong.”

2.

2. GANDHI—At his death, he said, “For the first time in 50 years, I find myself in the slough of despond. All about me is darkness. . .I am praying for light.”

3. THOMAS PAYNE—The leading atheistic writer in American colonies: "Stay with me, for God's sake; I cannot bear to be left alone, O Lord, help me! O God, what have I done to suffer so much? What will become of me hereafter? I would give worlds if I had them, that The Age of Reason had never been published. 0 Lord, help me! Christ, help me! No, don't leave; stay with me! Send even a child to stay with me; for I am on the edge of hell here alone. If ever the Devil had an agent, I have been that one."

4. SIR THOMAS SCOTT—Chancellor of England: "Until this moment I thought there was neither a God nor a hell. Now I know and feel that there are both, and I am doomed to perdition by the just judgment of the Almighty."

5. VOLTAIRE—famous anti-Christian atheist: "I have swallowed nothing but smoke. I have intoxicated myself with the incense that turned my head. I am abandoned by God and man.” He said to his physician, Dr. Fochin: “I will give you half of what I am worth if you will give me six months of life." When he was told this was not possible, he said “Then I shall die and go to hell!" His nurse said: “For all the money in Europe I wouldn’t want to see another unbeliever die! All night long he cried for forgiveness.”

6. ROBERT INGERSOLL—American writer and orator during the Golden Age of Free Thought: "O God, if there be a God, save my soul, if I have a soul!" Some say it was said this way: "Oh God, if there be a God, save my soul, if I have a soul, from hell, if there be a hell!

7. DAVID HUME—Atheist philosopher famous for his philosophy of empiricism and skepticism of religion: He cried loud on his death bed "I am in flames!" It is said his desperation was a horrible scene.

8. NAPOLEON BONAPARTE—French emperor who, like Adolf Hitler, brought death to millions to satisfy his greedy, power-mad, selfish ambitions for world conquest: "I die before my time, and my body will be given back to the earth. Such is the fate of him who has been called the great Napoleon. What an abyss between my deep misery and the eternal kingdom of Christ!”

9. SIR FRANCIS NEWPORT—Head of an English Atheist club, to those gathered around his deathbed: "You need not tell me there is no God, for I know there is one, and that I am in his presence! You need not tell me there is no hell. I feel myself already slipping. Wretches, cease your idle talk about there being hope for me! I know I am lost forever! Oh, that fire! Oh, the insufferable pangs of hell! Oh, that I could lie for a thousand years upon the fire that is never quenched, to purchase the favor of God and be united to Him again. But it is a fruitless wish. Millions and millions of years will bring me no nearer the end of my torments than one poor hour. Oh, eternity, eternity forever and forever! Oh, the insufferable pangs of Hell!”

10. CHARLES IX—The French king. Urged on by his mother, he gave the order for the massacre of the French Huguenots, in which 15,000 souls were slaughtered in Paris alone and 100,000 in other sections of France, for no other reason than that they loved Christ. The guilty king suffered miserably for years after that event. He finally died, bathed in blood bursting from his veins. To his physicians, he said in his last hours: "Asleep or awake, I see the mangled forms of the Huguenots passing before me. They drop with blood. They point at their open wounds. Oh! That I had spared at least the little infants at the bosom! What blood! I know not where I am. How will all this end? What shall I do? I am lost forever! I know it. Oh, I have done wrong."

FAMOUS LAST WORDS; "FATHER, INTO THY HANDS, I COMMIT MY SPIRIT".

THANKS FOR SHARING MY FRIEND. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS

I'm not sure that you did this research or just found it and copied it from some source. If you did, I have to give credit for finding all of these last words of people who returned from a near-death experience. The word returned seems to be used rather loosely in your presentation.

However, most of the books about near-death experiences are experiences of full recovery, claimed by those who thought they were dying at the time and were absolutely sure that some god showed them what heaven was like so they can come back to earth and think about going there more.

I became an atheist in my mid 20s just after entering my paralyzed life, while growing more difficult to navigate, but easier in many ways like this voice dictation system I use to respond to your article or write my books, stories and poems faster and more accurately.

Technology and medication have also made my life less painful today than it was 25 years ago. Saving me from the pain of hernia, pneumonia and urinary tract infection, kidney stones and hemorrhoids. But, when I needed to turn naturally at night like everyone does, but couldn't, without help, getting the sleep became difficult even with caregivers giving me exercises and turning me. Lately, though, I have been sleeping longer with less pain, but more a feeling of coming death from old age and not from paralysis only after I wake up.

My near-death experience occurred on the operating table when I was awakened by my neurosurgeon after losing a lot of blood and damaging my spinal cord in mid surgery to try to find why my left arm and hand were getting weaker. I felt or saw nothing else except my neurosurgeon asking me if I was okay, and my telling him that I was. There was absolutely no light or no tunnel. I merely awoke in my hospital bed without any feeling except tightness from the bandages on my neck and the inability to move anything from my neck down.

However, during the next 20 days I didn't sleep, because while I felt like I could solve complex mathematical problems in my mind and spoke glibly with anyone who cared to listen at my bedside high from painkiller morphine. However, my long nights were the worst, because the morphine that allowed me to feel like I could solve problems and kept away any pain, made it impossible for me to sleep as I seemed to fall backwards into nothingness with very large red rings rolling over my body.

While my legs came back almost fully without any pain, my arms begin to atrophy and felt like I had both of them in barrels of biting biting ants for several days when the pain subsided and I could move them again but with very little movement and difficulty keeping them down until I sat up because I lost my tricep muscles almost entirely and only gravity kept them at my side during the day.

Finally, I was off of morphine, I lost all of that pain of recovery of feeling (similar to what I always experienced when I nearly froze my feed or fingers in wintertime and the feeling came back) that couldn't be called fiery because it was more like prickly needles. I was able to swing my feet off the bed and walk, although not normally and never run again.

I consider most revelations about near-death to be usually dreams under anesthesia, or perhaps a drug overdose or other life-threatening injury that puts the brain into an unconscious, but still active process of dreaming what the brain already has programed by repeating church phrases during an entire lifetime. Something I have not cluttered my brain with.

I believe that I will die in my sleep one night without any pain and without any dreams and without any returning with any fabulous stories about where I have been and came back from.

I have noted that a number of your atheists were very terrible people who used others in terrible ways. As they neared their death, I can see where their natural conscience would finally catch up with them and they would have a hard time facing it.

I'm finding that my vivid dreams are about sometimes quite pleasant and erotic new experiences, or challenges that lead to great wealth and freedom in the end. I really don't have any regrets for having treated people badly in the past to haunt me.
