It is your own Ego that creates opposites. It is your own Ego that creates a world of conflict and fighting.
   

    When you meet Kali, the first thing you may notice is your own discomfort. It is the discomfort of suddenly being made aware that there are no opposites, that the world you live in is a grand illusion made by your Ego. There is no good and no evil, no up or down, no us or them. There are no real differences. In Kali’s world there is nothing to fight for or about and there is no place to judge. She does not tolerate self righteousness either. This is why many people never call on Kali, it’s just too upsetting, especially if you are coming from a materialistic point of view.

    Everyone’s Ego sees Kali as a destroyer and from the Ego’s view point that is correct. She has no use for human Ego and while she does not oppose it, she also will not acknowledge it. If you come from the place where Ego is your identity, the worst thing anyone can do is refuse to acknowledge your importance.
   

    If you have an inclination to call on Kali, it is because you have grown up enough to do so. She will not treat you like a child, but she expects you to be responsible for yourself. Kali is aware that you need no one to fight for you or protect you, despite the fact that so many people come to her to fulfill these sorts of wishes.

    What Kali will do is challenge your level of awareness and if asked, she will push you to realize your true spiritual potential. This is not for the faint of heart and she is not one to call on if you are looking to make your Ego world more comfortable.

    Calling on Kali will bring to places that may make you feel like you’re going insane but this isn’t Kali’s doing, it is the challenge of taking your own Ego out of the driver’s seat.

    Your Ego wants to be the driver's seat all the time and if you try to take control there will be a fight. This is between you and your Ego. Take heart though, it is Kali’s presence that draws strength away from your Ego. Kali will, without a doubt, devour the power of your Ego, just don’t interfere and everything will turn out fine.
   

    No matter what kind of pain you think you feel on a worldly level, calling on Kali will ultimately show you the truth - that you are always safe and secure because the you beyond the Ego is the truth.

    Oh Kali, Kali, Kali.

    If you call on her and then stay with her guidance, which will be about confronting your fears, you will know a peace that you didn’t know existed or think was possible. It’s not because she gives it to you but because you were willing to let her teach you to give it to yourself. Kali is the coach that guides you to win your Self back from all the influences of the illusory world of your Ego.
