Are greed, ignorance and denial killing us in most miserable ways?

Previously unknown illnesses seem to be afflicting evermore people. Many are caused by what we doing to the earth and to ourselves... and here's what we must do.

I attended the recent and interesting area forum sponsored by the Comprehensive Cancer Alliance for Idaho. Even though the news media publicized that almost half of Idahoans will get cancer, (will be hit by horrifying long-torture bombs,) only few people bothered to show up. And that makes me want to scream, because hardly a week or month passes, without me learning about someone I know, who has had, or has this dreadful disease. And by simply observing, I have even predicted, years in of advance, which people would die from such. And sadly a few did. Not only that, many other illnesses, which I never heard of in my younger days, seem to be afflicting evermore people in our nation: Multiple sclerosis, fibromialgia, chronic fatigue, ADD, and more.

Generally environmental degradation of God’s creations and personal health habits seem to precede the emergence of some, if not most, of these illnesses. Horrifying long-torture bombs also seem to be impacting ever-younger age groups.

What I have learned through my own traumatic experiences, observations, obsessive readings and world travels has almost convinced me that Albert Schweitzer might have been right, when he stated decades ago: “Man has lost the capacity to foresee and to forestall. He will end by destroying the earth,” and “Man can hardly even recognize the devils of his own creation.”

The increasing numbers of modern-day illnesses seem to prove that Schweitzer‘s predictions are being fulfilled. Therefore we must find the original causes of the prolonged, costly and painful sufferings afflicting too many people. Then we must remove these causes by whatever means necessary.

Our government spends billions of dollars and too many lives in its “war on terrorism.” What we are doing to ourselves, torturing and killing thousands of innocents in the slowest, most miserable ways imaginable, right here in Idaho, is far more terrifying than foreign terrorists’ activities. Yet this receives little public attention, because afflicted victims suffer over a long period of time and do so mostly in lonely silence, away from the public eye. Yet when compared to “sensational terrorism,” our own “silent suicidal terrorism” receives little funding and efforts to crush it. Guilty parties must be uncovered and severely punished. And “whistleblowers,” that is “morally-correct” people, must be rewarded. Drastic situations require drastic measures.

Because we do not yet seem to have a centralized source, database or combined, coordinated effort to identify the causes of all such illnesses, I would like to suggest that various interested organizations, support groups and individuals come together to establish one think tank/research group, for illnesses suspected to be caused by made-made activities and behavior. This makes sense considering some of them seem to have the commonalities of time, space, effects and affects.

Environmentally-caused illnesses will potentially affect almost everyone. Rich and poor. We are all in this together. Toxins can travel long distances and can be deadly forever. If we don’t work together to expose their primary causes and then resolve them successfully, we will perish together from our own greed, ignorance and denial. But be aware that Band-Aidâ -like programs are ineffective, and that there might be foreign, and domestic, silent self-serving parties, who might try to undermine such an endeavor.

I agree! I was born and raised in central Florida. My father always said, (he had very little education, but a lot of common sense)"These missles they're sending up can't be good. we'll get some bad repurcussions from this someday." My father died in 1970. Now they're telling us (the scientist) that the ozone layer is disappearing. Our weather is now all messed up. Washington has passed a law that we can't put extra freon in the car, because it's hurting the ozone in our atmosphere. Talk about a bandaid job! This is laughable. Not only are these Cape canaveral projects destroying the ozone layers, but throusands of birds and other wild life are killed off every time a missle goes up. Of course all of this is kept out of the papers. The government doesn't want to get the Audubon Society down their back, or cause a national scandal. Of course the local citizen know all this. Keep addressing the issue. We need more like you.
