When choosing the category, I was torn between humor and history since this old man is fast becoming history but I decided on humor. What do you think?
On the second Tuesday of each month a group who call themselves Romeo’s meet for breakfast and share old war stories.These guys include me along with a bunch of guys who graduated with me in 1963.Don’t let the name fool you.Romeo’s was the name a buddy came up with.What it means is Retired Old Men Out!On August 28th I become eligible Medicare.I actually stopped celebrating birthday’s a long time ago.Now it’s more of a commemoration.Sixty-five.Oh Well, it happens to us all.
Actually, it isn’t as bad as I make it sound.I am a grandfather of five of the cutest, smartest and most lovable grandchildren in the world.Oh yes, lest I forget, I have three of the best kids in the world.I have a wife who loves me and best of all, after so many years and a few health problems, this old man is still alive and kicking.
