After heartache and waiting...my daughter called...

Stevie Wonder said volumes when he wrote that popular tune, "I just called to say, 'I love you."
I have written several pieces lamenting my plight as an adoptive mother whose daughter met her birth relations and left to live in the neighborhood they live in.I haven't heard from her in months and months.
After months of heartache and struggling I finally moved to a place of acceptance and peace; but also felt a call would have been nice.
So when my daughter left a message on our answering machine saying, "I love you," it gave me more than peace...it gave me happiness and pure joy.
"I just called to say how much I care," is the next line in the Wonder's song.
Her calling did just that; showed me she in deed DOES care. AMEN.

Hi Lynn! Children can hurt us just as well as love us. "I love you" is the best words ever heard from a child. Thanks for sharing!
