I am excited to introduce our latest addition to our farm family to my den family!
As many of you know that follow my blog or have read my biography you know that my husband and I have a fairly large farm where we raise Boer goats. Boers are beautiful animals that have found a special place in our hearts. These animals are easy to care for as they are easy to love, and very easy to sell. If you can let go of them! Our latest arrival Tippy, came during the middle of the night a few weeks ago while we slept. You might be wonderfing who helped deliver this beautiful little billy, as I spoke often about awaiting to assist in the birth of other baby goats. This handsome little guy's mommy was assisted by our herd's dog Frosty. Frosty is a wonderful dog that was bred and trained to herd, care for, and protect our goats she is a great white pyrenees...a great farm dog, family dog, and a fantastic nurse maid! Tippy is what is a paint boer goat, my granddaughter Jozie named him Tippy because of the white tip on his tail! So my den friends, Lynnlog Boers is proud to present the arrival of Tippy! What a handsome billy. My niece and her husband have goats on their small farm in Virginia. Nothing is more thrilling to them than when they get a new addition to their family. One of the babies fell in a watering trough and nealy drowned and my neice actually gave it mouth to mouth resusitation and it started breathing again.
lol. Tippy is adorable. I have read some of your blogs today and am enthralled with your rural Kentucky life. I can almost picture the view from one of your windows of lush mountains with the baaing of goats in the background. How wonderful. Great new addition to your family. You sound like a wonderful teacher also. I would have liked to have been there when the Native Americans visited, also. Great.

Up the street from me there is a medium size horse farm, next to it there is a goat farm. The ones here are all white, don't know what they are called, but maybe I should walk over to find out.
Your goats "Boer Goats" have such pretty faces with legs like a mountain goat. Are they pure bred or are they cross bred??? Just interested. What do you feed them??
Oh, what does it matter, Tippy is fine and your family is happy and that is what counts.....
