Dust and Ashes

They say the eyes are the window to the soul

But don't forget your eyes also are the window

To the world

In my windows all you find is dust and ashes

I ‘m imprisoned within blocks of ice

Image of me is merely specks of dust roaming

In the core of your heart

As I wonder through the park I bumped into a friend

The weeping willow, I realized that my tears are

The tears of the willow  

………………..were both  

Trapped in a world of pain

And my soul is shielded by a cloud of darkness  

My eyes spill tears onto the soil and ignite like fuel

 As my flames of crimson encircle you, still the

Soul of my heart is merely a slave

....................To yours

Your words of love overflow with a cold bitterness  

 My heart grieves and my spoken words and world

Have turned into ebony skies, as my

Tears have turned into ashes, and my heart into

 ………………..Dust

Fed a mountain of lies a blanket of frost emit and cover

 My soul through myriad seasons, now I'm

Entrapped like a spider in-between your web of lies

A day doesn't go by without me wishing to not have a heart

 Then I would never have fallen in-love nor felt the edge of the

……………….. Knife

Night after night I kneel on my knees and pray

 For my sight to depart

That way this slave would see only angels within my mind

Instead all they see is things that bring sadness to

 ………………..My spirit

Often I hope for one day soon to lose my hearing

That would be joyful, not to hear your heart sing and

Whisper to mine, of the countless loves in your

……………….. Life

Often I wish upon the stars to take my eyes for without

Eyes there's   no tears to spill no visions to view

Nor eyes on my mind playing image slide

………………..I rather not ever see

No eyes to see the broken hearted look upon

Your face I prefer to be blind  

And spellbound in a time capsule floating within 

  Mystic winds of yesterdays, when

Unconditional bond of love was

………………..Cherished as valid vows

We all know that nothing in life lasts forever

 There are too many liars in this world

Only thing we can count on is that we breathe

 Life today

But don't count on tomorrow for

Tomorrow we may become

………………..Ashes and dust

A soul that walks and breathes I'm dead inside

"This slave of your heart wishes for the window

Of my soul to be closed

Forever……

Then my dust and ashes will rest in peace

Under the wings of a friend who weeps my tear
