Well, I'm writing again and I'm writing a little something every day. It's not as difficult as I thought it would be. When the parameters are to write "whatever pops into your head" the words flow. It's very liberating. I've never kept a diary or journal but a lot of writers do and now I see why. This old soldier has learned a new trick. I write about the Steelers, the weather, Pittsburgh, Iraq, sex, Vietnam, the hospital, being one of the working poor and of course writing. It's all good stuff. I can feel a new piece of flash fiction forming in the hazy distance.
Guy, I checked out your diary and I really like it. I have also set up a blog to keep a journal, but I'm waiting for the approval. I think I will feel the need to turn entries into stories, but for right now, I'm just going to try it and see what happens.
