One for all dog lovers ......... The hardest part of loving animals is admitting to yourself that its time to let go and then watching them die.
Please be kind be my friend No need to beat me with sticks For I will remain loyal to you Do your bidding and take risks. . . Take time to look into my eyes For needs that I cannot tell For water when I’m parched Clean food to keep me well I delight in just simple walks No matter what the weather To trot happily by your side Play and have fun together And should you not be feeling well Somehow I will understand Look into my saddened eyes And I will lick your hand. . . As friends we seek happiness We share our grief and fears And bring emotions so deep that Trust keeps building through the years. My muzzle now shows signs of grey I feel physical sense and emotion too You wanted me to share your life And found love is there for you! All too soon time for that long sleep In that other land where I run free Tears will flow from out your eyes Wishing for one more day with me! So come sit down by my side Tickle my ears and stroke my fur Then look deep inside my soul Try to remember the way we were. .
Very touching emotionally for me due to my recent loss. Captures the essence of a dogs unconditional love. Well done.

Very sad when they've been around for many years. My mother said our cat has recently gone into a coma. Although our current cat was born in our house, and our family has always kept pets, I have learned that we cannot make them happy, and they are often in danger because of our inability to communicate with them. I have decided that it is best to keep a bird feeder with water and a bird house rather than to have pets. Then we are assured that we do not interfere or enter fear in their lives.

I think that anyone who owns or has owned a pet can relate to this article. It pulls at your heart strings! The last paragraph was a tear jerker.
