Evolutionary Potential
The time has come to realize the potential we as humans have from an evolutionary stand-point. The potential is amazing, as are we, as are our brains. Jesus was nothing but a prophet, a son of God just like the rest of us. He was trying to let us know our true potential as humans, to show us that we too can walk on water, heal people, and turn water to wine. He was trying to show us the power of the human mind. It's a shame the confusion religion creates in its search to understand.
Sometimes I wonder if religion is even trying to search for an understanding or just enforcing something that may or may not be true because it seems like the best we can do right now. I agree, our potential is amazing. I'd love to stop using a few "special" people to carry out this potential in all of us, ie, Gandhi, Jesus, Martin Luther King Jr., etc, and have the whole lot of us realize we are all "special".
