The Holiness of God is the essence of his character and being. It is that part that separates him from all other things in the universe because He is not dependent on what is created to sustain him but beloved, all creation is dependent on him for their existence.

(1 Peter 1:13-16) (13) "Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;" (14) " As obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance;" (15) " But as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, "Be holy, for I am holy."

PREFACE SUMMARY


Dear reader, this is a much-needed timely message that will allow us to catch a glimpse of the invisible God and learn more about his attributes and holiness.

Dear readers, did you know that all creation relies on God for existence, but He does not need what was created to sustain him, we must realize that our God is eternal and is not bound by the dimension of time and the law of physics, for he created time as a temporary context for His creation?

Dear Saints, everything that has ever happened or will ever happen has already occurred within His awareness, therefore, our God has the power to speak everything seen and unseen into existence and sustain it with the right hand of his power for the beloved, his creative power is beyond our comprehension because when he speaks galaxies are born.

Saints, did you know that our God is holy which is what sets him apart from everything that is created and his moral character is the absolute standard of integrity and ethical purity, therefore, as we meditate throughout this message on God’s supreme holiness, we cannot help being overcome with a sense of awe as we discover that the Lord our God that he is just in all His judgments.

(Psalm 96:9) “Worship the LORD in the splendor of His holiness; tremble before Him, all the Earth."

Saints, to get a better revelation of what I am attempting to say, we can imagine that we are in the courtroom of a judge who is known to be unforgiving and very harsh with those that would come into his court but one particular morning, his mother was brought before him.

Beloved in my story, not only was she brought before him but the state has witnesses that caught her in the very act of committing a crime, and notice the stern look on the judge's face as the state presented its witnesses leaving the defense attorney no loophole to convince the jury that the woman is innocent.

Beloved listens as the judge renders the verdict that she is guilty as charged but saints, what took place next caused everyone in the courtroom to gasp in unbelief as the judge found his mother guilty and sentenced her to pay her debt to society in the state prison.

Saints, after giving his mother a harsh sentence, and adjuring the court, the judge started removing his robe and stretched his hand out to the bailiff saying, "There is nothing in the law that would prevent me from serving mom's sentence and beloved reader, that is exactly what our God did for his greatest creation for you and me.

Beloved, the word states that He that knew no sin was made sin for us or in our place, that we might become the righteousness of God in him. (2 Corinthians 5:21) "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.


THE HOLINESS OF GOD


Dear reader, the thought for this message on the holiness of God came to me after hearing a message from one of our newly ordained ministers expounding on the new Heaven and new Earth which will be filled with righteousness.

Beloved, some of the inspiring messages that can be found on Sermon Central, caused me to think that maybe there is hope for America and the world at large which caused me to think about the Holiness of the Living God and dear readers, some of these messages caused me to think of the famous sermon preached by Jonathan Edwards titled “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God."

Dear readers, this sermon caused the Holiness of God to fall mightily upon the congregation bringing the people to a realization of their sin before the eyes of a Holy God who sees and hears everything in his universe.

Beloved to be Holy is to be unique and this attribute is what separates him from all things created both seen and unseen, for our God is far above and beyond anything our three-pound brain can imagine because he has no limitations on what he can and cannot do in other words, He can work inside and outside creation with no restrictions.

(Psalms 24: 3-5) (3) "Who may ascend to the hill of the Lord, and who may stand in His holy place?" (4) "He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted his soul to falsehood, and has not sworn deceitfully." ( 5.) "He shall receive a blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation."



THE CLEANSING FIRE OF GOD


Dear reader, we can reflect and review what took place in the days of Lot and discover a conversation between God and Abraham concerning the impending judgment that was soon to fall on the wicked cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. Abram started by interceding before God for mercy concerning these wicked cities knowing that his nephew Lot had chosen these cities for his home.

Beloved, Abraham began by asking God as he stood in proxy as a mediator for these wicked cities because he knew his nephew Lot had chosen to live in these cities. He began to ask God if he would spare the cities if fifty righteous people could be found and God agreed that if fifty could be found he would show mercy and spare the cities.

Beloved, Abraham continued to plead with God till he had bargained himself down to ten cities and God said he would spare the cities if he could find ten righteous people. Beloved, the search was made to find ten righteous people that the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah could have been spared from the severity of God’s judgment who hates sin, but sadly, there were not even ten righteous people in the two cities could be found.

Beloved, if sin in its fullness caused the judgment of God to fall on a nation on that day, then the question for us today in this unthankful wicked generation should be; “ Lord, with all the violence and disregard for all that is Holy, how close are we in reaping the same judgment or something even worse? "

Beloved, we desperately need a spiritual cleansing in our world today and it needs to start with the men and women standing in their churches attempting to bring some hope and meaning to their congregations.

Beloved, my question to you the reader, and to myself is this; What is this cleansing fire that would cause men and women to weep and mourn before their creator?"

Dear reader, to fully answer that question, would be for us to get a visitation from Heaven and get an up-close glimpse of the Holiness and justice of our Living God which will strip off all pretense as his cleansing fire falls and flesh is exposed before his piercing eyes as we discover that what we were exploiting in our services calling it moving of his Holy Spirit was nothing more than worked up flesh.



OUR WORKS SHALL BE TRIED BY FIRE


Dear reader if what you have read thus far does not cause you to think about the world situation today, then I ask you to view the suffering and trial of Job who thought he was at the point of death which caused him to curse his day of birth, yes look at Job as his anguish turns into pure joy, worship and adoration when he came face to face with the holiness of God after his trial.

Look at Isaiah in the sixth chapter and see the prophet of God shaking in weakness when he was confronted with the awesome keen awareness of God’s holiness and power which caused the man of God to become aware of his sinful nature and the sin of the people around him. In verse 5 we hear him crying out that he is a man of unclean lips. He was terrified of being in the presence of a Holy God.

Beloved, when we see and recognize God’s holiness, we soon become aware of our ungodliness. Dear reader, Isaiah realizes that there is a whole nation of people around him in desperate need of the same cleansing he has just received which caused him to be filled with compassion for the lost and changed this man of God into a humble man who is filled with a desire to commit his entire life to the Lord’s service.

Beloved, our churches today need this cleansing revival fire and presence of the Living God to show up in our services which will pull the masks off of what we think are important persons and strip away the pretenses or shall I call them actors in the house of God.

Beloved, the Holiness of God will cause the souls of men and women to be laid bare before the eyes of an all-knowing and all-seeing God. When God shows up in his Holiness, the works of men are tested and what we thought was the workings of his Spirit, will be shown to be nothing more than our fleshly cravings and desires which will burned and consumed like wood, hay, and stubble.

Beloved, we read in the Holy Scriptures that men and women trembled in the presence of the Angels of God and my question is, “Will this give us a glimpse of his Holiness and awesome presence to one day stand before him and give an account of our lives? "

Dear reader, it is no secret today that some of our churches have become social clubs and have lost their love and zeal for lost humanity finding themselves in the category of the elder brother in the parable of the prodigal son. Yes beloved, they are selfish people who claim to know God but find themselves seated with people who use the pretense of gossip as a prayer request in a church meeting and they do it with no shame.


GOD IS HOLY IN CHARACTER AND DEED


Dear reader, as we stated earlier in this message I feel an urge to say again and again that the awesome truth we need to proclaim in today's wicked world is that our God will not be mocked because the Holiness of God is who God is and it clearly defines his character.

Beloved, is that part that separates him from all other things in the universe because he does not depend on things that were created to sustain him but all creation is dependent upon him for its existence.

Beloved, our God is Holy in thought and deed because he is not held in place by anything or anyone nor is he bound or limited by space and time.

Beloved, let me take a stand in this mixed-up world today that has no room for God or anything holy but beloved, our awesome creator God is and has always existed with no beginning or ending to be found but beloved, let me declare that all things are held in place by the word of his power.

Dear reader, the most powerful Supreme Court judge holding the life and future of an individual brought before him would pale in comparison to the day that he will be standing in front of the Judge of the universe who created him and standing there without representation giving an account of the life he was mercifully granted in his life span on earth.

Beloved, if we look at Exodus nineteen and verse eighteen, we will discover that the people of God after witnessing the mighty hand of God deliver some three million of them from bondage in Egypt, yes beloved, we find them trembling before the mountain as it was shaking as God’s awesome presence and power descended upon it in front of them.

Dear reader, the awesome presence and holiness of almighty God caused Adam and Eve to hide in the garden because of failing to keep his commandments. In closing beloved, let me declare that it caused the face of Moses to shine so bright that he had to place a cover over it to address the people.



WHY DOESN'T THE WORLD WANT IT?


Beloved, as long as we think we are right, what need is there for a change and a voice to cry out to a Living God to come and kindle us with fresh revival cleansing fire which will consume and expose sin and its wages for what it is and that is death both spiritually and physically with eternal separation from God and all that is Holy. Amen.

In closing beloved, let me say that the bottom line is that people know when you love them and they know when you are pretending to love them, therefore
Please understand that people attending church service are to be treated with love and respect, therefore, if they do not sense and feel it in the parking lot, they are not going to be able to receive the message from the one bringing the message because their mind is already focused on how they were treated as a guest before and after they entered the building.

Beloved Saints, did you not know that there may be a reason someone living near a church has never entertained thoughts of attending services at the church, could it be that they have watched how some of the people attending services there have conducted themselves in public contrary to what the bible says that they are supposed to be living, or could it be that some of their neighbors hold high positions in the church and they have watched their lives including who comes and goes at their house?

Dear reader, the bottom line to our call and purpose for being here is to occupy our position and follow the command of our Lord in the great commission by letting our light shine before men so that they would see our good works and glorify the Father which is in Heaven.

Dear reader, nowhere can we find in scripture where we are told to build our kingdom or make our light shine, therefore in closing, let me say that "you can not give what you do not have and there are no shortcuts with God."


MY CONCLUSION


Dear reader, many Kings, peoples, and governments have attempted to bring God down to their level in an attempt to convince people that he has lowered his standard but my answer to all would be that according to how he has shown up in history and made himself known even in the founding of this republic called the United States of America, He is the standard that we must measure up to.

Beloved reader, we must not forget that we are living in His Kingdom in the here and now, for He has already defeated Satan and the first chapter of Ephesians says that all Authority has been granted unto him, which is a Delegated Authority that was given unto him by the Father and he in turn has delegated that Authority unto us. (Luke 22)

Beloved reader, did you know that we are supposed to be the body of Christ, representing him throughout the Earth and we need one another for there is strength in unity?

Dear readers, looking at the world situation today, can you agree with me that we desperately need a fresh encounter with the Holiness of God which will make us aware of how dangerous it is to play with sin?

Dear reader, did you know that some people including church people play with sin today as if it is something to be toyed with, giving the impression of someone putting a snake in their pocket to warm it up with a mindset of trusting it not to bite them as if they are somehow immune to its venom and judgment of death it brings to its victims?

Beloved, did you know that revival started at Pentecost when the ONE HUNDRED TWENTY (120) were filled in the upper room as the Holy Ghost fell upon them like a mighty rushing wind, and later we find them speaking to people from all nations and they were able to hear and understand in their language?

Beloved Saints, the revival that started at Pentecost has never ceased, and all we need to do is seek the Lord with our whole hearts and walk into it declaring that we are not praying for a move of god, but we are a move of God.

Dear readers, can we be safe in saying that we live in a fast-paced world that wants everything handed to us? "Can somebody say A-Men Right there?"

Beloved, please know that there is a price to pay to witness true revival and this message will teach you what it takes to experience a move of God that will shake the kingdom of darkness to its core as the true fresh fire of God falls in our midst consuming everything that is not like Him.

Saints, the cleansing fire of God will unmask the pretense and set things in order and most of all it will crown Jesus as the Supreme King, Lord, and Savior.

(Acts 2: 6) “Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his language.”

(Matthew 16:18) "And I say also unto thee, and upon this rock, I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it."

Beloved, according to Matthew’s gospel, the church should be breaking down the gates of hell and invading the territory of the devil.

Wake up church and let us be on the offensive and not the defensive, then Like the Apostle Paul, we together can say "I fought a good fight and finished my course.”

Saints, it is then and only then that we can hear the Lord say, "Well done my good and faithful servant, you have been faithful over a few things; enter into the joy of the Lord and I will make you ruler over many, and I do not know about you, but this is what keeps me going, even when the going gets tough because I long to hear these words spoken from my masters’ lips informing me that I have been a faithful servant, that I have been faithful over a few things, that I have pleased him who called me to be a soldier.

Beloved reader, my favorite scripture in the whole bible is (Psalms 19:14) "Let the words of my mouth and the mediation of my heart, be acceptable in the sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer."


My CLOSING PRAYER


Beloved let us pray, Lord, we believe you sent Jesus to pay the sin debt and die in our place, we believe he died and rose again for our justification, Lord we accept your free pardon, and ask you to create in us a clean heart and right spirit; Lord washes us in the blood of your dear Son and removes anything that we may have inherited unpleasing to you from our bloodline.

Dear Heavenly Father, we thank you for your great love and blessing over our lives, for we rest in knowing that you promised to never leave nor forsake us as your children, but you promised to go with us all the way even to the end of the world.

Dear Lord, please forgive us for failing to remember that you know and understand what we need, for you were once one of us who was tempted in all points as us and you went to the cross to pay our sin debt that we could be drafted into your royal family as Sons and Daughters sharing with you in your glory

Dear Lord, we ask for you to enlarge our borders, and put your hand on us to guide us in the blessing for we need your divine guidance so that we might walk fully in your blessing and goodness as you lead us by your Spirit to divine appointments.

Dear Lord help us to realize our dependence upon you and realize that we are a part of your glorious body on Earth.

Lord help us realize that there is strength in numbers and we need each other to be fruitful and live a prosperous life as your people.

Lord help us to not be careless and prideful in our Christian walk, Lord, looking like a bunch of used body parts, but help us realize Lord, that we are a part of something bigger than ourselves; that we are a part of your glorious body as sons and daughters in your kingdom.

Lord, I ask in Jesus' mighty name that you will touch, heal, and deliver all that read this prayer and call upon your wonderful name. A-men
