The young streetwalker, who had lived a hard life hooked on crack and dangerous drugs, said that soon she was required to have two surgeries, and she said that a minister had prayed for her and invited her to a phone conference line where they gathered to have weekly services on the telephone line.
She said she loved listening to the online phone services and that many of the people who joined in to give their testimonials on the line inspired her life.
She said that one sunny day when she was sitting in her yard listening to a church service on the phone line, a young lady walked into her yard and asked her what she was up to. She informed the young lady that she was listening to a church service on the phone line. The young lady asked her to put it on speakerphone, and they joined in to listen to the service.
Near the end of the service, the young lady mentioned getting some loudspeakers and began planning to have church services in her backyard.
The former streetwalker said she could get the equipment and soon began playing the services conducted over the phone through her loudspeakers in her backyard facing the city's most dangerous street, one which the US Mail refused to service.
The people living on the neighboring streets had to travel to the post office to get their mail, and the former streetwalker informed her minister that the young lady's sister, whom she called Miss P, started to come over and listen to the services being broadcast from her yard.
Not long before, people came to her yard to hear the services broadcast over the Unity Line telephone line.
The founder of the call-in church unity line asked her to consider feeding the homeless and the street people, and she said it was then that the minister had his ministry issue her a minister's license to make her legal to have a home church.
The former streetwalker said she had been preparing for a lady minister to speak at her gathering. She noted that flyers advertising the meeting were made up and distributed, followed by free food and prayer.
Someone donated a whole load of food to her gathering. Not long before, a friend pulled up in a truck loaded with chairs donated from her friend's church.
On the event day, her yard was full of people eager to hear the gospel, followed by a good home-cooked meal.
As word spread, many came to the Saturday meetings. People were saved and delivered; some even rededicated their lives to the Lord.
The North Carolina revival was being noticed, and sometime later, the former streetwalker invited a man known as Paul, the trucker evangelist, to speak at her event.
He preached a message about Noah's life, struggles, and perseverance in building the ark. When the trucker evangelist began to preach, the yard was full of people. The message was titled “Reliving the Days of Noah.”
The message compared the state of the world before the flood and its current state of lawlessness with daily news reports often highlighting cases of murder, hatred, and violence prevailing all over the world in an attempt to remove God from society.
The minister stressed the thought during the message over the loudspeakers: “If you were living then, would you have assisted Noah in building the ark?”
His message preached across the loudspeakers, spoke about the corruption found on Earth in the days of Noah and how self-centered people who love themselves are proud, rude, and disobedient to their parents today.
The minister’s message was a comparison of what the world was like before the flood and the similarity of what it is like, especially now in its present state of lawlessness with men walking the streets with other men parading their nakedness in front of children upheld by ungodly leaders in government and school shootings.
The trucker evangelist knew the street facing her yard was known for drive-by shootings and muggings, but he had preached all over the U.S., including the inner cities, and having guns and knives pulled on him was nothing new.
The minister preached his heart out about Noah and the coming flood that would wipe everything walking, including everything that is living, off the face of the planet, and doing so while men and women were indulging in lavish wild parties provoking lawlessness with danger on every corner.
The minister told a story during the message about a young executive looking out his window at an older man who seemed to be wasting his time preaching to bystanders who were mocking and throwing objects at him, calling him a doomsday prophet who was out of his mind.
During his message, the minister stresses the story of the young executive observing Noah and his sons working on a forty-foot-long structure with a steady work pace, as if they believe in the message preached by this doom-day prophet who is making the evening news.
During his message, the minister would make the young man feel sorry for Noah and tell him how it bothered him to see people mock him and show no respect for their elders.
During his preaching, he would have the young executive return home and turn on the evening news only to learn of an intruder breaking into a dwelling, robbing and killing an older man, including a woman.
The minister had the young man switch channels only to hear about someone who had killed their wife in cold blood.
He had the young man turn off the TV and pick up the newspaper to read the headlines describing a drive-by shooting that left an innocent bystander dead. He threw the paper aside, thinking, where does it all end?
In his message broadcast across the loudspeakers, the minister had the young executive look at his wife and family, pondering what it must be like to be the Creator and witness all of this violence. He wondered what he would do if he were in God’s place and had to observe all this violence. Would not I be angry and send a judgment of correction to bring my creation back in line?
During the message, the minister in the message had the young man return to work only to find Preacher Noah preaching to the people that God would soon judge his creation.
The evangelist preached that Noah’s message began to take its toll on the young executive, causing his conscience to wake up with a warning that an impending judgment may be near. He especially witnessed, day after day, the disrespect and mockery of people who showed no respect for their elders or each other.
During his message, he began to preach that the disrespect shown toward this older man caused the young executive to confide in a close friend that he had been thinking of helping this older man work on his Ark, only to hear his friend reply that he would become the laughing stock of the office and would make headlines in the morning paper to which the young executive agrees with his friend and changes the conversation.
Preaching over those speakers, the minister stressed there was just something about a voice in the back of his mind that was tearing at his conscience, saying, “What if this old man is right?”
Over the loudspeakers blasting out of that yard, he had the young executive enter his home feeling like he had calmed the voice inside. Still, he again makes the mistake of switching on the TV set to hear the reporter speak of a shooting in a movie theater that has left several dead and more than seventy wounded.
The young executive quickly switches off the set, asking himself,” What is this world coming to? In his message, he showed the young executive catching a glimpse of his young son playing with his cell phone.
To his son's left is his wife seated in her favorite chair, smiling as she appears to be busy knitting a sweater.
The trucker evangelist began to preach that reality suddenly sets in on the young man, causing fear to grip his heart and awakening him to the fact that they are living in dangerous times. The thought came to him like an arrow shot out of a bow: "What about the safety of my family, and what if this old man is right?"
The young man informs his wife that this old man and his sons are out there every day preaching of a coming judgment that would consist of a flood that is going to wipe humanity off the face of the Earth, to which his wife replies in a comical gesture that she has heard about the old man, stating that the news is all over town to which he replies “I thought of helping the old man out of respect for his age and the way he reminds me of my Grandfather, and even if he is wrong.
Continuing his message, the evangelist had the young executive say that nobody deserves to be treated the way the townspeople treat him. The evangelist had the wife interrupt his thought sternly, scolding: “If you were to do such a thing, I would lose my place at the bridge club, and your son would not be able to show his face again at their school."
The evangelists preaching the message like a theater play had the young man wanting to calm the situation. He quickly agreed with his wife and called his boss, asking for the next couple of days off, which he hoped would give him time to relax and rest his mind.
After the young man's leave expired, he started his journey back to his place of employment, but this time, something was different from the other mornings.
With a loud voice, the minister pushed the message, saying, "This time, the air is different; the wind has picked up, and the rain is starting to fall as if the sky is pouring its judgment upon an unfriendly world.
The evangelist continued to preach over the loudspeakers that God was moving on that dangerous city street, touching lost souls.
He kept preaching that the young man was met by a trusted friend who seemed startled and out of his mind, appearing to be rushing to get to higher ground.
The friend informed the young man that strange things had taken place while he was off, such as animals coming out of the forest, seven of the clean and two of the unclean, as if guided by an unseen hand.
Nearing the end of his message, the evangelist stressed that the friend began speaking about sheep walking beside dangerous lions, and both entered the ark as if guided by some unseen hand.
The minister had the friend inform the young executive that the wind had picked up just minutes before, and without any possible warning, the door of the Ark had mysteriously shut as if some angry God had closed it.
In his message, the minister had the friend inform the young man that as he was leaving, the water was rising to the point that people were screaming in terror as they were running everywhere in a state of confusion to get to higher ground while attempting to hold their children above their heads as if to prolong their life for a few more precious moments while losing their own.
Nearing the end of his message, the evangelist spoke of the young executive having flashbacks of his wife and young son who would need his help and had him quickly make a dart to run to their aide, to be by their side and do whatever he could do to get them to a place of safety.
While running with all his might to get home and check on his family, the voice inside was speaking again, this time louder than ever.
The evangelist ended his message by blasting it across those loudspeakers, preaching loudly, “Young man, you should have heeded the older man's warning and done whatever you could to get your family on the Ark of Safety.”
Suddenly, without warning, young men entered the former street walkers' yard, shaking and trembling under the convicting power of the Holy Spirit.
The minister was still preaching, declaring that the young executive was last seen clinging to a log adrift in the deluge, realizing that all hope of saving his family was lost.
Just before he is swept under by a whirlpool that appears to come out of nowhere, the voice speaks once again, “Why did you give in to the peer pressure of a society that cared for no one but their selfish desires, and why did you not help God’s man work on the Ark?"
The evangelist was so caught up in the spirit that he began to preach, “Oh dangerous streets, your houses and streets are on fire with the Holy Ghost.”
The minister ended his message by declaring that God declares in his word that the subsequent judgment coming upon the earth judgment will not be with water but with fire.
Revival fire hit that yard that day in North Carolina, with known drug dealers falling on their knees, crying out to God.
The power of God descended on the streets of that North Carolina town, and people entered the yard from the roads and woods, falling and trembling before God's mighty presence.
The former streetwalker said people that day were saved, delivered, healed, and had their loved ones prayed for. News from that event spread like wildfire, even to surrounding counties, with churches and businesses donating clothes and money to her street ministry.
Later, when she went to the bank to set up an account for her street ministry, the bank informed her that they did not think anything good could come from those dangerous streets. Many local businesses refused to deliver goods to her location, stating that it was too risky and an area for their drivers to be in.
The street preacher, who used to walk the streets addicted to drugs, became the talk of the town, and the drug dealers noticed such a change in her that they became her protectors, putting the word out on the streets that she was to be respected.
