ain't Life funny?

i wasn't sure "where" to place this write. i mean, it ain't a poem (tho poetry is what i do), it's not a short story, nor a book... figgered it must be AN ARTICLE. hell i ain't particular.

it's raining today. GOD knows we need the rain.

the sky's are gray. just a slight, soft drizzle.

not sure this will make any sense, but this Day, i have time to reflect... on YesterDay.

just to set the background...

i am old.

older than i once was.

once, i thought i would be young forever. now i look at me and i know,
i'm growing old. a story yet to be told. sorry, that's the poet in me.

my needs are simple... food, shelter...
no more helter skelter that i used to be. no, that ain't me no longer. maybe, just maybe, i've grown stronger.

i Live in a small space, a place GOD made for me.

It fits me.
It suits me.
my space To Be.

pastel walls
with my Art
pictures
from my past
pictures
that last

figurines
cowboys
& buddas
jade greens

an old rug
fit and snug
a few dead bugs

my front yard
is someone's backyard
i like it
a fence 'tween
the world & me

a quiet neighborhood
one i grew up in
least i should
grow up i mean

but i never did
i hid
an old pot with a tight lid
