This is not the Stephen King's style I used to read.
Stephen King's new book continues to suck... big time!!! I don't think I will buy his books anymore. The story lacks focus. Characters are all over the place, leaving the readers scattered brain. I went through 8 pages of the first story, and I still didn't know what the story was about. He was still in the middle of introducing his characters and naming them. I could not even remember the name of the last character he had introduced.
King's style is so different now. I hope he is not allowing his son, Owen King, to write stories in his name. In that case, I don't want to read any of King's new books again. The style is now very disappointing! I don't appreciate the introduction of characters before they appear in the story. I like the characters to be introduced in the story just as it's their time to pop up in the story. I like that style better. Stephen King used to write in that manner. He introduced new characters just as the time they popped up in the story, and not before that.
I suspect King's son, Owen King, is now publishing under his father's name. It is not the Stephen King style I used to like to read. I am mad because he would allow his son to mess up the minds of his devoted fans. I no longer want to read his books. I don't know if I will continue buying his new books because of this new style, which I suspect is written by his son Owen.
There are 16 stories in this book, so tonight, I will skip the first story and begin to read the second story. I will see if it's still written in the same style or if I will like it better.

Stephen King used to think a lot in his old style. He thinks, and he would write his thoughts at the same time. Through his thoughts, he would tell his readers what is happening in the story. His readers would be able to connect with him through his thoughts. When it was time to have a new character in the story, he would introduce his new character in detail. Sometimes, his new character would open up another story when he tells us about the new character's life. There would be more stories for us to read.
I cannot feel the same mental connection in his new books. That special bond between an author and his reader isn't there. I'm very disappointed if he allows his son, Owen, to write under his name because what I'm reading from this first story seems to be the style of Owens, NOT his.
