Well it’s that time again! Time for all of us to get the annual Christmas letter from people we don’t hear from all year. O lucky ones, in the spirit of the holiday season, I decided to share my Xmas letter with you.

Well it’s that time again! Time for all of us to get the annual Christmas letter from people we don’t hear from all year. O lucky ones, in the spirit of the holiday season, I decided to share my Xmas letter with you.

Dear Ones All,

Again! It’s that time of the year for our annual Xmas letter. Much has happened in the household this past year. First about the kids.

Marvin went to his first summer camp this year. It rained all week. A deluge. The kids were so bored because instead of outdoor activities like archery, and horseback riding they were stuck doing crafts. I must have about fifteen lanyards.

Marvin almost got kicked out of camp. The first night at dinner they served corn on the cob. The corncob was so old that one could bend it back like a bow. Poor Marvin. He bent his corncob back so far and releasing it that the kernels sprang off the cob and went flying across the room. They splattered the back and neck of the camp director. The kids seeing that laughed and everyone engaged in a corncob fight. This grew into a food fight. In the middle of the week, Marvin got poison ivy. His bunk mate got ptomaine poisoning from the food.

Our oldest graduated college this last spring. We are so proud! Sadly, as he was walking across the stage to get his diploma, he tripped across a lighting cable and stumbled into the table with all the diplomas stacked neatly on it.Unfortunately, in the process of picking them up the carefully arranged diplomas got mixed up and the Dean had to call the graduates by the wrong name.

Our family went on vacation to Paris. We visited the Louvre and saw the Mona Lisa. Unfortunately, Leonardo is not around to repair the damage. It was only an accident; no one meant for it to happen. Marvin stumbled against the painting and knocked it off the wall. I hope insurance will cover the damage.

We’ll friends there are many more adventures to tell you about, and next year, I’ll have even more adventures for you since we are planning to take a cruise up the Amazon River. Until next Xmas, here’s wishing everyone a happy holiday.

Sincerely,

Your Dear Friend

This has to be fake. But it's entertaining. It reads like something an old Chevy Chase family movie would be like.

Reminds me of my annual letter. I left off the word Xmas a long time ago. But I'm beginning to think it's a waste of time what with social media keeping up with people daily whether they want to keep up or not.

But I still have a cousin who doesn't seem to have a computer or be on the Internet and handwrites me a letter every year that covers one page and a little bit on the back of standard writing paper that I haven't seen in years, otherwise. I feel obligated to answer through snail mail as well.
