Like our own Matt Miller, James A. Cox of The Midwest Book Review is a godsend to the writing community.

This only comes to mind because of a newsletter I just received from Editor Cox, one which points out the pitfalls for any POD or self-published author. In addition, he notes that he has a spot on his web site where other book reviewers are now listed. But a word of caution if you wish to send a copy of your book his way. The Midwest Book Review receives some 1,500 titles A MONTH of which only some 60-70 ever make the cut. [Mine, I am still proud to announce, was once one of them.] Subsequently, be sure to triple-check your grammar, spelling, etc., before you submit a copy of your book. [Even here at AD, I sometimes gag at the number of misspelled words - especially when they appear in the short summary!]
