Rejection does not spell failure but defines success

Rejection is a monster that we all will face sometime during the course of human existence. Rejection comes with many faces, and it adopts various shapes. As a Christian writer and author, I am familiiar with the pain, ridicle, and stigma of rejection. Rejection itself is powerless, until one succumbs to its spell. A lot of people resign themselves to the fate that rejection throws on their way. Many see rejection as a road block and not a detour, and a vast majority of people focus on its immediate negative impact, while they overlook its potential. Passion and optimism, in my estimation are the best weapons necessary to defeat rejection. A passionate man will never succumb to failure, nor permit himself to be bound by the voice of rejection. Passion has the ability to strip rejection of its potent venom. The passionate man will not make rejection a destination, but a commencement of the journey. I believe that rejection is life's way of handing us an eraser. It is an opportunity for us to make corrections rather than tear the book. It is the opportunity for a makeover, the end result of which is always beauty or marked improvement. People face rejection at times, not because of incompetence, but because they are over-qualified. The problem in this case, then becomes that of the rejecter and not that of the rejected. The best approach to rejection is never to let it define who or what you are. A winning approach is not to fight, but to passionately embrace it and see it as a friend and not an enemy. When we redefine rejection, we make a choice to not let it drown us in the river with other rejects, but rather, to keep afloat and swim until we get to the banks of the river where success awaits. The true reject is one who fails to see its purpose.
