Do you have problems reading when the lettering is small? Do you wish the lettering would double in size? Do you have problems concentrating when the lettering is small? If you have answered yes or no to any of these questions, read on.

I do not know about you but I would rather read something with larger print than something with small print. I am now involved in the planning of a large event. The rules are very rigid and I need to know the rules like the back of my hand. I have read two of the rules books - three times. The small book which is the main books the print is so small I haven’t read it yet. I find my mind wandering and the concentration just isn’t there. This is where I received the inspiration to write this article.

Why is so many important items written in small print. Take for instance the newspaper. It is almost a joke to read the newspaper without a magnify glass. Even with bifocals the print is small and blends together.

The same can be said for the front of bottles with liquid soap, shampoo, and conditioner, the list could go on and on. It makes sense when you are in the bathroom; if you wear glasses they are removed. To the thousands of people who are blind as a bat without their glasses anything goes.

You have to wonder what the manufactures are thinking of when they market their products? Do they not take into consideration the average consumer is not age 20. As people age their eyes age along with them.

Being an author I have taken a very keen interest in practically dissecting the book I am reading. I especially look at the size of the print and the color of the print. I have started to be very picky about the books I read if the ink is gray or the lettering is too small.
